Does "Jeff" disclose all the sites he has an interest in? Confirm this is the guy thats currently ducking and diving after being fingered for employing unsavoury business practices.

Would still love to know what your business is and why Jeff dumped your listing.

 

My problem is not with the policy that he decided to change (after I submitted, which he used as a means to retroactively declare my academic, G-rated site "against the submission guidelines"), but with his choice to not equitably remove my competitors. He can decide to change whatever he wants, but he has to treat all companies equally.

I'd like to get back to the original matter. I await Jeff's justification for calling me a liar in public, as well as his proof (via PM) that he emailed me about removing my link from apahcinc.org.

 

It's his directory. He can choose to NOT LIST your site and LIST your competitors. His site, his rules. Deal with it. You are not out any money so move on already.

Calling you a liar is one thing and its a bit rich considering who we are talking about but I think its unreasonable to expect him or anyone else for that matter to have to inform any webmaster that their link is being removed from any particular directory. Why should they? Are you paying for a directory master to review your site or are you buying links?

We guarantee the links we place but this only covers links that comply with the directory masters policy and if the site changes significantly over time you would battle to convince us to replace the link for you and I just dont see that there is any obligation to notify anyone.

Why are you so reluctant to disclose the nature of your business? Do you really need to grease the palms of the directory masters who list your site? If not we have a list of over one hundred emerging directories where you can get a lot better value for your $$$.

Are we are talking about integrity or not? I thought this was the point you are making. Are you not accusing the directory master of double standards? Let me ask you again. On what basis do you believe you have a right to being notified and refunded. If you are buying links from the directory concerned you have a point. If the directory concerned is selling links you have a point. But if you are paying a directory master to review your site you are barking up the wrong tree.

Which is it?
