    Hello,
Sorry but how do i post on the QBC site thingy , cause new candidate for QBC (quick buck crew ) site is none other than Aviva Directory - Aka Jeff's Directory.

    His site fits http://www.quickbuckcrew.com/dir/Copycat/ category.

Please read this thread where he failed to provide proof that Annie (ex dmoz editor) was lying when she and her husband Dave(Dmoz editor) accused and asked Jeff nicely first by PM's to remove listings and descriptions that he stole from http://www.only-yours.com/
    Proof : http://www.only-yours.com/aviva/aviva.htm

I do not know who to contact for adding aviva to the QBC crew site ? Sorry Jeff (onlinedude is the DP profile id) but if you had provided enough proof and replied to everyones questions this situation would have never risen, annie and dave are not corrupt as you are trying hard to prove.

Anyways lets see how true and partial QBC site is now. :p . IF you are not going to list the site please explain to me and others why (oh sorry no excuses that i am blind and i suck sort of thing, just point to the facts only).

By the way does this mean that directories are now officially nothing but pain in the butt ?:D

Wow! This should be an interesting thread. Not like there's enough shit out there already. Red rep me, give me an infraction, or ban me...seems like some time should be offered before assigning anyone (person or business) the infamous QBC status. Jeff may be "guilty" or he may not...but seems like you have the cart before the horse on this one.

Dude how much time does jeff need, 3 months maybe 6 months just like his about page which is still under construction for 6 or more months ? The fact is that after repeatedly asked by Minstrel to reply to questions raised, jeff runs away from DP saying that dave and annie are trying to tarnish his directories name.
He can just come back explain with a nice tone as to exactly why even after he removed annie from his directory how did daves directory content got put on his directory with same descriptions ? Can he not simply explain that part ? How hard can that be ? I know i would try to my fullest instead of running away from a topic or issue ;) And i thought thats what QBC was made for by (i dunno the dudes name who started this QBC crap in the first place). But now is the time for that site to hold up to its reputation.

    Cheers

Each to their own. Given your assessment...you'd better be able to back it up.

I don't know Jeff and have no reason to support him or berate him. What I can't stand is first...QBC and second...how fast people scream it. Those three letters are well know here and I'm guessing, by now, else where and even a false accusation could screw someone. Especially a site that's so visible.

I'm sure he's (Jeff) a big boy and can take care of himself. It just seems like you were a bit quick to post such a thread.

Looks like one of Jeff's editors is at fault, which in turn is Jeff's ultimate problem. I also doubt Jeff is ignoring the PM's on purpose.

He's a good businessman, a great directory owner, and an honest person.

Shame the easy route people take these days to make money. Can't trust anybody you hire these days.

    Sorry mate,
Jeff was given ample time (if i am not mistaken 1 full month to settle this issue like any mature person via PM's) but jeff decided to leave the thread without actually replying to the questions that could have proved him innocent, but he kept ranting about how bad annie was and etc etc. and like dave pointed in his replies that annie did not copy paste descriptions at all, they were all modified.

Anyways who am I to be the judge of all this , thats why this post is here, if u feel like Aviva has gone out of line this time by copying content off other directory than sure u will support unless ur are just afraid to speak to out loud like select few. If u feel its all ok to allow directories to copy content off others, than fine with me, lets see how u will react when someone copies content off ur sites. I know the feeling cause long time back someone stole content off my site too. Its not a pretty feeling trust me.

    Cheers

If had a clue, you would know Jeff has many editors that add listings to Aviva Directory all the time.

It's a slip-up, no doubt, but I'm positive Jeff didn't do it intentionally, nor knew it was going on.

You jump on a big stick my friend.

Probably one of the editors at Aviva did it, not Jeff.

Dudes i am not saying jeff did the editing anywhere, i am just saying Aviva directory is copying content, be it some internal editor , does it matter ?

Is that any excuse for anyone to leave their directory in plight and not come around to defend it or try to find out what happened actually and if it was editor mistake remove the duplicate listings ? Well hopefully Jeff sets everything right and everyone is happy like before. Now only time will tell if some action is taken by Aviva or not !!.

    Cheers

I wish I could let this be but I can't...

Your thread title: New Candidate for QBC listing - Aviva Directory

    forums.digitalpoint.com - Alexa Rank:161

Right, wrong, or indifferent - It's not your place to assign such a title to anyone. What if you're wrong? Regardless of any apologies, there IS damage done.

I'm guessing that you don't personally know Jeff, "ThreeBuckChuck", or his wife. Trust me...what you read and even see via screen shots is not always true.

Maybe I'll start a new site called BDT.com. And in my new site...which by the way is BullShit Directory Threads...I'll include this thread as a featured "must read":D

Who next? Maybe you should include my site? Or maybe a not for profit site...not to different from my site really:D

EDIT: My apologies to all that read this (excluding OP)...just tired of the madness!

Yup joke around all u want, but will it change anything, will aviva remove the duplicate content ? If jeff is not at fault will dave will if asked and proved that he is infact lying ?

So keep ur jokes away from this serious thread. If u have no useful comment to add please do not.

By the way where are those jokers that say another link bait thread ?

Jeff is one of the oldest and respected member at DP as well as always come here in Directories area with innovative ideas and modernizations in the directories business.

I would like to recall his few outstanding threads:

    What are the Strongest Directories?
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=430259
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=319429

    and so on.

I must say there will be great loss to directory's community here at DP, lot of directory owners will loose moral.

I too hope Jeff didn't do it intentionally, may be it was editor's mistake or whatever, but to ignore your own all works (job, business) and criticizing someone at extreme is not prudent way at all.

I think Jeff is not to blame as Dave(threebuckchuck has himself copied the descriptions)

So be patient! before you come to any conclusion

What about the websites in question? I really don't see much quality for some of them.

    Were they added for free?

If I had a directory such as Aviva, I would definitely ask for a review fee from some of them.

I love how you guys so conveniently ignore the proof Jeff did present... Annie openly admitting she copy/pasted in PMs. Frankly, I don't blame Jeff a bit if he quit reading half of the crap you were spouting and didn't even see half of it to respond. You made up your minds, went on the attack, and ignored everything valid he had to say. But that's ok, b/c you're the judge, jury, and executioner, right? It's seriously gotten pathetic. So go ahead and have Jeff listed if it make you feel all warm and fuzzy, but for people bitching and moaning about potential bias, you'd better report Annie et al for her / their part (openly admitted and proof provided) as well. You can't have it both ways....

Frankly, people who take their private business public are usually more at fault than they'd like to admit. Anyone that unprofessional as it is certainly isn't doing much to defend their own character to try and prove their innocence. Seriously, it's just sad at this point. I've invited Jeff to do a second live interview with me to talk about things and address questions. I don't know if he'll do it, and I certainly won't try to make anyone. But there really needs to be a bit of order in place on both sides before people go tearing into someone else's reputation.

Very interesting facts thats, hope now dave finds out about it too. And can explain his position. Seems like its forming a triangle now. Good thing i do not add sites manually to my directory otherwise i will be also in sh..t load of trouble too.
