Hello. I'm launching a website, and as part of it I want users to be able to register a blog that will be of the form: subdomain.mysite.com I've been having trouble finding software that will host blogs for me. If you know of some software that will do this, please let me know. Free software would be preferred. Thank you.
I saw this post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=423836 would that be along the lines of what I need?
Wordpress MU is best software and it's free....then all your subdomains..users..will have wordpress to blog on....
to have subdomains on wpmu you need to be able to support wildcard dns (otherwise each blog is created like blog.com/yourblog/) wpmu is the way to go tho, especially if your looking for a free option.
I've only ever used one piece of blogging software, and that's WordPress. There's no need to try another.
wordpress. if your host offers you fantastico you can install wordpress on any subdomain in a couple of minutes. It takes a click of a button and putting in a username and password.
