Heh...good one. I was debating whther to use phplb or someother solution for my secret project...now we have phpld based solution too.
Yes, and let me know how we could make it better. I think it is pretty good right now other than needing a nice template. There is a little more info here: phpLD Bid for Position Version 2 And here is a couple of examples: Bid Up Links Shadev's test site Keyword Galaxy - starting to get some decent bids
i was planning to made a bid directory for one of my site, i already have one based on phplinkbid, this time i want a phpld based link directory. is the paid one comming anytime soon, or should i go for the free one. i mean after editing the free one to suit my needs i guess it will be a bit tough to update to the paid 3.2 verion. anyways, the bidding script looks promishing!
www.bigweblinks.com is a good example. The sites that bid more , get listed higher - simple concept. If you feel some site is good (someone else's), you can bid for it and improve its position. Thus it can also act as a ranking directory. However hardly anyone bids for others' sites . Edit:Spelling.
I advise you go with phplinkbid anyway. Other than those with custom scripts made with asp, like chris has for bidweblinks and his other two, the majority of bidding directories use phplinkbid. Its really good, has IPN and a good admin panel.
I only know of one person that has worked with the templates, Dawzz. If you decide to purchase, I'll make sure you get a solid answer on this. Thanks, David
Good luck with the new script, Now cyberweblink.com will not be only one with phpLD script with bidding feature
The search functions doesn't seem to be working in Version 2.12. Also the link you have given isn't really a link. . Please correct it.
I'm surprised you were the first to find this about the search. We will have a fix for this very shortly. This is the link: http://www.phplinkdirectory.com/articlescript/news/page_1/Bid_for_Position_on_Version_2_12.php
