Does anyone have any tips on how to build an opt-in list quickly. I already have a squeeze page that allows people to opt-in to get a free ebook. But I was wondering how I can make this page more effective at encouraging people to leave their details. Any advise would be much appreciated. Thanks Peter
Peter, can you share the link with us so we can see the page? Also, how are you currently promoting it?
I provide one of the best services online to promote squeeze pages and increase your list, just click my link. Also a quick way to build a list is to do JV's with people who have huge lists. I also provide alot of those tips and tricks to members of my list.
Well, the easiest and free way is to create a brandable ebook with your link in it ... And co-registration with other list owners will also work.
I wouldn't advise anyone to buy a list from anyone. That is the quickest way to get caught in hot water. What you want is double opt in members who want to hear what you have to say, period.
Here's some tips from my experience for squeeze pages... You're really going to have to build trust in the visitor for the visitor to give you his/her email address. Simply bribing them with a free ebook isn't enough. Does your page describe the benefits of joining your list in such a way that it appeals to the visitor's emotions? What problems does the e-book solve? Why do they need your book anyway? WIIFM Radio - Whats In It For Me Hope this helps
Good points ez-online-money.com, It all has to do with knowing your "potentials". You have to fish with the right bait in, in the right place.
Building an opt in list requires time and work. There are many ways to do it and people here have mentioned some methods. You can use giveaway, submit your eBook to directories, write articles etc. When these people visit your page they need powerful reasons to opt in. Your squeeze page has to be clear, straight and to the point. And once these people sign up you have to carefully let them know that you are not going to give them freebies forever, also they have to buy.
i use free reports all the time with an affiliate system involved with it - so it becomes pretty viral you can take a look at 2 of my recent ones: http://www.ianfernando.com/vpmreport http://www.ianfernando.com/newbiereport both of these are split test run - but both work effectively they both do one thing create a list for me automatically I just have to promote it once either on my blog or let my JV know about it and its all set to go if you do not have anyone for you to help promote your squeeze pages at least one time then article promoting would be best bet, epsecially to popular ezines such as ezinearticles and goarticles
Yes, subscribers need to buy. It's very important. If you offer free gifts, ebooks or coupons you must remember to put a strong P.S. on the bottom of your message with something to buy. It's just an invite... Do not send messages without a little offer inside (to a paid product) or they will get habits to receive free gifts and nothing else.
Check out this thread. My idea was gambling related, but it can be changed to cover many different subjects.
Figure out what your target audience is looking for/needs and offer it to them, almost for nothing. If they want info/reviews/advice then start a good newsletter, free. So they have to sign up to the newsletter, don't turn it into a website. Advertise your sign-up page as you would any website, try adwords and so on... keep on top of your convertion cost and give it a shot.
Offeer something for free that they would leave their details , something that really matters to your audience
You can advertise to MANUAL traffic-echanges. Do not waste your time to surf, just purchase their paid offers and get tons of impressions for very little costs. You'll notice your mailing list will increase day-by-day. It's better to place some banner-exchanges on bottom of your landing-page, just to get more free traffic...
Thanks for all your suggestions. They have been a great help. The other day I managed to find a free ebook called Instant List Profits by Fabio Marciano. I found some good information inside which also helped. Infact I'm now going to give away this free ebook to start building my list. Thanks again Peter
