I think only mods can make threads sticky.

If you are referring to making a sticky post in DP, then you can't...Members are not allowed to make any sticky post :)

Oops mirror, you are fast lol :D btw, IMO only admin can make a sticky if I am not wrong.

Hmm perhaps Shawn could implement something like this only in the webhosting section or other areas.
    1 Day Sticky - $25
    3 Day Sticky - $50
    7 Day Sticky - $100

Anybody thinks it's a good idea?

hmm im not sure blazer, due to the fact that there are many rich people here, i guess there would be too many, or maybe none, as there is no real need to have a sticky up

it is not possible to make just any post stickey! you need to get a very good thread, then you may have a chance!
looking at namepros, 50% of those threads are stickey, i think making threads stickey for money is not all that a good idea!

You should start a very useful thread with some FAQs, help etc. If people will like it, they will suggest the mods to 'make it sticky'. If the Mods also find it useful, they'll make it sticky!

Selling sticky posts in the BST section of DP has been suggested many times before and Shawn is really not interested.

Put this in the suggestions section I think it is a good idea.. All the mods I believe are the only ones who can sticky stuff.. However if they sticky stuff they'd have to keep track of when to put them down also.. its just to much..
