Okay, so the deal is that I'm going to build my own custom desktop soon!(Yay me!;) ) I want an extremely fast everything and computer (You know like the kind the FBI have...Jk)

Please list everything from the case to the processor to the mother board and include everything and include the price to! Don`t go over $2,000.00 though please:p I'm not rich:D (I only make 50k a day...Na`rly)

My laptop right now is all banged up:( My brother Spilled milk on my comp, and thats why my typing is all messed up! Half the keyboard doesn't work!

    Thanks for doing this everyone.

--I would appreciate it if you didn't spam this thread!

Go to Dell, customize an xps at $2300ish and that should give you an idea of what to expect in a built machine under $2000
I can't give you specific brands of motherboard or anything though since I really don't have a lot of experience with building (just did once)

Here's a custom build. This is way better than buying a branded system.

(All prices are from newegg.com - you can search around to find cheaper deals)

    Processor
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 - 227.00

    Motherboard
    Asus P5B Deluxe - 179.99

    Memory
    OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 - 149.99

    Storage
    HITACHI Deskstar 500GB 7200 RPM HDD - 129.99

    Case
Antec Nine Hundred Advanced Gaming Case - 139.99

    CPU Cooler
    Zalman CNPS9700 - 59.99

    Power Supply
    OCZ GameXStream 600W PSU - 119.99

    DVD Burner
    LITE-ON LightScribe 20X DVD±R Burner - 37.99

    Monitor
    SAMSUNG 226BW Black 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 318.99

    Graphics Card
    PNY GeForce 8800GTX - 529.99

    Sound Card
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional - 139.99

    Keyboard
    Logitech G11 Silver & Black USB Keyboard - 55.99

    Mouse
Logitech G5 USB Wired Laser Mouse - 45.99

    Speakers
    Logitech THX Z-5300e 5.1 Speakers - 134.99

    TOTAL: $2271

(If you are on a really tight budget, you can leave the speakers, and buy a cheaper keyboard and mouse, and may also consider dropping the soundcard or get a 20" monitor instead)

alienware is too expensive...you could just buy all the stuff from newegg.com and make it yourself cheaper :D

though hypersonic-pc is another good one in my opinion

go for corsair memory, ive found it to be far more reliable than OCZ (even though they give a lifetime warranty the amount of times youll return it is a pain)

I go with the consensus of using newegg.com, since alot of their stuff can be custom rigged from the site itself.

What he said just take a cheaper processor for example E6420 180-190$ but can be overclocked up to 3.6GHz
Also for DVD burner get LG-GSA 12 -12$ it's great
