well i wanted to know why doesnt the forum show who gives us negs or + reps?

i think its possible rite?coz a lot of times i recv reps from ~Noone~..so was wondering...

or is it for some kind of privacy of the members giving the reps? so they can remain anonymous?

btw dont tell me that i shud have searched i did searching on phrases like 'who has given me reps'..and all wierd threads started popping up..and like i already wasted sometime..

Could all get very nasty - "he/she negative repped me, so I'm going to negative rep them back and get all my friends to do the same" etc.

Well, you don't appear as red until you've got negative reps - so enough greens to take you back to a positive rep value is the answer. Some members have more rep weighting than others (those with lots of posts, long membership and lots of rep already can award up to 10 rep points).

Edit: I misread your question - 1 red rep takes 2 green reps to get you back on track I think.

The members with more green blocks count for more than just one. Some count as much as 10 in either direction.

Here's the sticky on rep that will explain it in more detail. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=173583

    Good Luck,

well well its funny although im still red(just one rep away)..i kept my mouse over my rep..before it used to say..something like i can only hope to improve..but now it says..syedwasi87 has a little shameless behaviour in his past hahahh lol...

and yeah i did the read tha faq but it doesnt say abt how many greens cancel a red does it?

MaryMary has hit it on the head - rep block are different to rep points. As I said before your red rep block will become green when you have a positive rep points score again.

In short, you will have red rep once you go below 0, green above 0. Rep power will increase once you 100 reps(continually) ,1000 post count, and once you've been here for a year. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Edit: Also you lose one rep point every time you neg rep someone as a cost.

I'm not sure that you have to have a 1000 post count for your rep to increase.

I have a small amount of posts, but I make them count, and I have a few blocks of green rep. Also I've only been here since February.

Every time you get another hundred reps up to 700, I believe, you will get another green blob. Or at least that's the way it has worked for me.

you don't HAVE to, but every 1000 posts you make increases your rep power by 1.
