Banned from Adsense..

Recently i got banned from Adsense..even though i dint click on my own ads...i seeked a clarification from them as follows..

I recently got my account disabled for invalid click
activity... the thing is i know you cant tell me how do you track of
these clicks...because of your properiety technology or whatever..but
i have a question and it is debatable..and that it no Adsense account
is infallible...suppose i want..i can click many times on a site with
Adsense and then the persons account will be disabled..is this how it
should be?? what is the fault of the owner or designer of the site??
Similarly on my site.. if someone else does it on purpose to get me
KICKED OUT how do you know?I acknowledge that Google wants to protect
both the Publisher and Advertiser..and since by invalid clicks the
Advertiser is at a loss what i would suggest is you could ban the
particular IP from accessing the ads.. I would appreciate if you
re-instate my account

Please note that we have certain policies in place that we believe will
help ensure the effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as
our advertisers. We have thoroughly re-reviewed your account data upon
receipt of your response and have reconfirmed that invalid clicks were
generated on the ads on your site. According to our policy on this matter,
we have disabled your account in order to protect our advertisers.

We appreciate your understanding.

cmon you know you clicked on your own ads. move on.

 

Is it really possible that you click on the adsense ads multiple times in your competitors' site and Googles kicks your competitor out of their program?

Sounds scary...

Click by mistake or tell Google? I tested an ad the first day I put adsense on my site (dumb, dumb, dumb) and as soon as I realised how stupid this was (its the first time I'd put adverts on any of my sites) I emailed them to explain. I got a polite email back and haven't had a problem since. Do I think Google has flagged my account as potentially fraudulent? I doubt it, and as I expect Google to be honest with me I think its only fair I'm open with them. I've also emailed them on several occasions regarding ad placement and they seem happy to help out. As Google knows if you clicked on your own ads I don't see there is any harm in making an admission?

Yes VS and Fryman I am in that boat also. Imo its very silly to email google and let them know your clicking on your own ads (intentional or not).

If in the TOS it said IF YOU CLICK YOUR OWN ADS EMAIL US RIGHT AWAY then perhaps I would feel different.

Well I have sent google an e-mail about that before... My reasons are so I have an actual papertrail on my end. Do I think Google is going to be ban me either way? No... Not at all. It likely doesn't hurt either though. When you click on your own ads they automatically are known and show up as zero cents. This is not something that is adjusted later, it happens immediately. They know it happens, their system accounts for it and the fact that lots of publishers probably click on an ad on ocassion is a reality that is accepted and accounted for.. So nobody is going to get suspended or banned for that.


I would like to set up an expirement to test this theory that someone could get someone else's account banned from google.

First we need someone to donate their good name and adsense account. Then we need a middle man. Then we need a third person who knows nothing about the first person or really what is going on. The middle man will have to coordinate the actions of the third party in order to click ads. When the adsense account donater does not get banned, we will all know that the actions of some malicious third party on a 100% compliant site will not get you banned.

Any volunteers?

Oh well. At least you can take comfort in the knowledge that the decision to disable your account was probably made by a 19 year old G intern, who gosh darnit' was just having a bad day.

Hmmmm...Well, let's say that G AS Team member "Joe Skankowitz" (<---fictitious name) was the person who received your email, reviewed your account and decided to let you slide with a warning email. OK, now let zoom 2 months into the future [Insert_Zoom_Sound_Effect_Here] and now "Jane Canada BoogieBottom" (<---fictitious name) is alerted by the automated fraud detection system about your accidental click. Jane has just returned from a meeting with other G AS Team members regarding the 5 lawsuits currently pending against G related to AS and she's not in a forgiving mood. She decides to take the hard line and disable your account.

Be careful about your communications with G. You never know what they'll use against you.

IMO, if the ratio of invalid clicks to valid clicks is low, you have nothing to worry about. Also, if you earn $5,000+ per month with AS, you can sleep easy.

As always, IMO. I don't work for G so I don't know anything for certain.

Let me communicate what I do know: I know that years ago, the decision as to whether or not a site I submitted to the Y! directory would be accepted was being made by interns @ Y! I personally think that it is perfectly within the realm of possibility that a company like G could have interns making yae/nay decisions about AS accounts.
