does anyone know how to get into the auctionads program? Is it affilate? It looks like its through eBay
Good news! AuctionAds is now open for business! For those that don't know Auction Ads allows you to monetize your website by displaying live eBay auctions next to your related copy. This is Shoemoney's new project in relation with Ebay and seems VERY promising! So Sign up Now! If the above link doesn't work PM me for the authentication code.
jessecooper, I am surprised at you! I have admired some of your posts, and in this thread I have to admit I admire you promoting your affiliate program so "craftily", but only a week ago when a member posted his affiliate link in the body of a post, you wrote: The post can be found at: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=253202 And, to think I congratulated you for standing up and pointing that out like another stand up affiliate marketer. And, just in case you go back and remove your affiliate link, it has already been recorded as http://jesseismagic.com/auctionads by left clicking on it and then clicking properties....and, cloaked at that! And, when I click on your site, there is NOTHING, except a a form to get my email address? Shame, shame, jessecooper. BTW...I have the screen shot. Come on jessecooper, isn't what is good for the goose, good for the gander? Let's play fair or risk being exposed. Jim
Hey Jim, Thanks for your concern but this isn't my program at all, This belongs to shoemoney and this allows you an advanced entry to the program if you look at the bottom it asks for an authentication code. I tried to set it up so you wouldn't have to put it in and could check out the site and decide if you would like to sign up! also in my first post i said "If the above link doesn't work PM me for the authentication code." so now that i see it doesn't work use the auth user: aa password: bb sorry for the confustion jim
Ah, jessecooper...a million thanks for a clear explanation, and a thousand public apologies from an old fart who is known to have strong opinions, and sometimes fires back fast...but, will always admit it when wrong. If you haven't noticed jessecooper, I like to keep the fire lit real high. I think we have a responsibility to "police" ourselves as an industry. Who else is going to do it? I think the affiliate marketing industry, which has slid into the "used car salesmen" category of internet marketing, has to, man by man and woman by woman, work hard to get back to the basics that made this industry so great...exchange, not secrecy...fair play, not shysters and scams...more support and less gimmee, gimmee, gimmee, etc. Once again my apologies to you. I have been restored in my belief that you are rowing in the same direction....so to speak.... Jim
So onto thoughts about auction ads, I just got in and am trying them out. I also tried Shoe's Shoemoney Ads where you put in your PID and got paid through CJ. This looks like we are all using Shoe's PID and he is paying out a %. Nothing in the FAQ or "how it works" about what that % is, just that we get paid through paypal.
AuctionAds officially launches tomorrow. More will be disclosed then. We let a few select people do some last minute testing.
I'm running it, will be interesting to see how it goes. No one uses eBay down here so I'm relying on US visitors I guess.
