It's really fubar'ed. Assuming the Registerflies.com information is true, Mr. Medina is likely to face both criminal and civil trials.

I get in, but get time outs. Registerfly has always been incredible slow anyway.

My information is now public for those domains that I registered with Register Fly. I hate them! Anyways.... Don't register your names there ever again! I just registered 10 domains and I can't get them back because of the 60 day thing at the beginning. Thankfully my main domains are registered with namecheap.

I've never done a transfer out of Registerfly before. I'm hoping to move them to Moniker or NameCheap. Anyone want to give me a tutorial on how to do it?

Is it safe to go in right now and initiate a transfer?

    Thanks.

    Damn! Just noticed this thread.

At the moment, Registerfly is down.

Does anyone have any definitive answers about whether this company is completely kaput or is still encountering difficulties or what?

Site isnt loading for me, but so far I've managed to transfer one of my domains away, but not my main one yet. I replied to the approval email from registerfly yesterday. Also, the lock was taken off, so far so good for me.
I can't believe Kevin Medina is still free, I wander why they havent arrested him, I mean wtf is going on?

I initiated a transfer from RF to GoDaddy a little over 24 hours ago, and the status on GoDaddy is still "pending approval from current registrar." I wonder what happens if the current registrar doesn't get around to approving it?

I like your answer, Stevie! Thank you!

The domain I am moving now is inconsequential, but I have others to move that are important and I didn't want them to wind up in limbo. As soon as this "test" transfer completes (4 more days) I will start moving the others.

UPDATE: I received an email from RF asking that I visit their site to verify that I want the transfer. I completed their form to help speed the transfer along. Time since beginning transfer process: about 30 hours.

UPDATE #2: It worked! About 10 minutes after confirming the transfer at RF, I received an email from GoDaddy which begins, "Congratulations! The transfer request for the following domain name(s) has been completed." Unfortunately, I can't log into RF now to get the codes to transfer my other (more important) domains out.

I don't think I would wait. A lot can happen in four days.

Anybody know of any special transfer deals that GoDaddy is running, or coupon codes for transfers?

Unfortunately, no. I've just coughed up $150 in transfer fees. I've left some throwaway domains at Registerfly to see what happens but I'm less than impressed with all this crap.

The best offer for transfer from Registerfly is to dotster, witch is a nice company.

dotster.com gives you transfer from registerfly for $5.

Enter the coupon code, " registerflies " in the coupon code field.
