    So you mean 3.8 x 2 or ?

    Is it 1 Giga Or?

Btw how much this cost you? Nice PC, if it's 3.8 then it is a bit better than mine :S

Maybe I am a little bit sentimental :) No, the price was my main reason (approx $80 i difference from Intel CoreDuo D6300), but also I couldn't find similar motherboard for Intel and I really like this one I got...

I've got AMD Barthon on Socket A before and there was time to upgrade to AM2. When I bought AM2, I've decided to buy X2 over single core because it was a small difference in price...

Blah, I need a new PC.

Although I am still running on an AMD 1.25GHz w/ 768MB RAM which still suits my needs, so I doubt I will upgrade until next year.

i think its the best time to upgrade. intel will release their new quad core processors and that means pricedrop for the core 2 duos. vista has also been released so if you buy a new comp, it can handle vista. and if you have a crt monitor, lcds has now become affordable and the quality is at par with crts. affordable directX10 graphic cards are also starting to show ;)

it was $700 without a screen...

I've bought 7300GT because I thought it was good enough to run Vista. I am not a big gaming fan, but I have OK configuration to play Out Run 2006 :) I've had a little bit limited budget so I decided to cut the expenses on GPU and HDD (bought one instead of 2 for RAID). Also I was considering to buy Intel but for money I gave I think it is a fair configuration...

    AMD X2 3800+ has 1MB of L2 cache. Don't know about L1...
