today was the day i was supposed to get paid and adsense screwed me in the ass by banning me. they said it was for invalid clicks? i never click on my own ad and i had over 9million impressions with them this month. why the hell would i risk losing my adsense account by invalid click? i earnedalmost $1000 and thats what i was supposed to be paid. why does google do this to people right before paying? WHAT THE HELL?
well, there are many stories like this... google is a reputable company, I have no idea why would they do this, since it hurts their name... if you really receive 9m impressions and many clicks, just go with other program...
Did you have any sort of ad tracking software installed such as adlogger? Having a record of what people are clicking and a great tool when trying to get reinstated and your earnings paid out. You would be surprised how many times i see multiple clicks from the same user within seconds. Google might see that as click bombing and claim they are invalid
Its bad!! I can't think why they do this.May be they don't to pay.... And they think that your site have invalid clicks
I switched to CPM based advertisers but thats not the point. The point is they are stealing $1000 from me. Thats nothing to them but to small publishers like me, I go thru college with that money. I am appealing it now. I spend almost $1000/month on adwords and I would not fraud any advertiser as I am one myself. You understand how horrible it is for them to do this to me right before payout. In fact, I made a topic about my concern (I have very low CTR) recently because I heard Google does stupid things right before payout
No i did not. I was looking for a software like that but I was not sure which one to get. I had Adsense account for about 6months butjust recently started using it.
holy crap man. i was going to use that money to pay this months server bills. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=241748 thats the thread I made just recently.. wow and it came true. this is the email i got from Google - It has come to our attention that invalid clicks and/or impressions have been generated on the Google ads on your site(s). We have therefore disabled your Google AdSense account. Please understand that this was a necessary step to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers. A publisher's site may not have invalid clicks or impressions on any ad(s), including but not limited to clicks and/or impressions generated by: - a publisher on his own web pages - a publisher encouraging others to click on his ads - automated clicking programs or any other deceptive software - a publisher altering any portion of the ad code or changing the layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason These or any other such activities that violate Google AdSense Terms and Conditions and program polices may have led us to disable your account. The Terms and Conditions and program polices can be viewed at: https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms?hl=en_US https://www.google.com/adsense/policies?hl=en_US Publishers disabled for invalid click activity are not allowed further participation in AdSense and do not receive any further payment. The earnings on your account will be properly returned to the affected advertisers. If you feel that this decision was made in error, and can maintain in good faith that the invalid activity was not due to the actions or negligence of you or those you are responsible for, such as employees and family members, you may appeal the closing of your account. To do so, please contact us only through this form: http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/request.py?contact=invalid_clicks_appeal&hl=en_US If Google decides to evaluate your appeal, we will do our best to inform you quickly and will proceed with appropriate action as necessary. If we have reached a decision on your appeal, subsequent or duplicate appeals may not be considered. Sincerely, The Google AdSense Team - inavlid impression? maybe they felt the Low CTR meant i was scamming them with impression even tho adsense is a f**king PPC program
Where did your traffic come from. If its some kind of pay-to-surf program, Google could see that as invalid impressions.
There's more to this story, I think. I'm just too lazy to delve into it. 9 million impressions? 1,000 this month? Neither of those numbers work together. I make nearly $10k per month with FARRRR less impressions. I'd bet you are either: buying traffic, part of a paid to surf thing, buying popunders (invalid impressions) or something similar to that, which would get you banned.
Maybe you could try emailing Google and ask for specific proof about the invalid clicks/impressions. Sorry to hear that this had to happen to you, bro.
social bookmarking sites would bring out alot of the small low paying niche ads i would think people using social bookmarking sites wouldnt click too many ads anyway
if you check my other threads i made i talked about why i get such low CTR <.04% and my ecpm is about 11c. here are the links to my previous threads: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=231210 - my first thread about adsense, when i first put it on. my ctr rates dropped but my impressoins increased when i integrated adsense onto every page of my website http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=241748 - the thread where i wrote about if low ctr can raise any flag (i read it in few threads in various forums) and I heard that google likes to find any excuse to ban people right before pay out (today was my payout) http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=244521 - my thread about tribal fusion because I applied to TF and was finally approved. yeah i made about 1000 this month. i just put adsense on jan 29th or 30th. so since then i made about 1000. i am not "buying any traffic, using popunders, or paid to surf" i have nearly 63,000 members, most of them are active and visit the site on a regular basis. thanks for your skepticism though.
i made $2 with adbrite in 2 days. they have the same old crap ads and most of the time they cant fill the impressions and just puts psa or whatever. but thats not the point. point is i lost a lot of income..even if i lost 1c but its still unethical for screwing over publishers like that especially right before pay out. and im sure im not the only one they screwed over like this.
Let's examine it from this angle then. Imagine, if those 1000 clicks always came from some of your 63,000 members. You don't get a lot of clicks, and let's say a few members clicked ads quite a bit. Google could very well say "well this dude is getting a high % of invalid clicks" and it would be a very reasonable judgement for them to make. Don't you think?
i dont know who clicks ads and who dont. but how am i at fault? i did not tell anyone to go clicking on ads. and how the hell google would know if the person clicked really was interested in the site or not.. my site has mostly teenagers and most of the adsthat google put did not apply to them. however, there are few older members and the ads might apply to them. but how am i at fault for that?
