    Hello,

I was reading thru the forums and it said that if you have unusually high or low ctr you can raise a flag with google...

my ctr is .04%, should i inform google? i am kind of worried after reading about so many people who got banned right before payout and im getting paid in couple of days.

    thanks for your help.

The only time flag is raised is when there are dodgy clicks irrespective of whether you have a low or high CTR.

As longs as the publishers dont raise an issue with google you are likely to be fine. I see no problem with having a low CTR.

Why would having a low CTR? That would represent lots of impressions with low clicks correct? How can people not clicking your ads be bad other than advertisers aren't receiving traffic to thier site.

I don't think if low CTR could raise flags! however your earning would be low and your average click rate would also be low!

    No.

Why do people who have done nothing wrong want to write to Google to let them know "I have done nothing wrong". What a waste of your time, of Google's time and way to get google flagging your site for potential problems.

If you are not doing anything wrong, then dont worry about your ctr. I have some sites close to 0.0 and others with days close to 100. Since it is natural, I don't care about the numbers and it seems Google does not either.

Too bad you got banned for invalid clicks.

But, that really has nothing to do with whether someone should contact Google because of a low ctr rate. You were banned, according to you, for invalid clicks - - that is a far cry from getting banned for a too low a ctr.

I think you have other issues on your site which you need to examine as to why Google banned you. It certainly was not for failing to notify them of a low ctr, that much we know from the email they sent you and common sense.

it said invalid clicks/invalid impressions.. from basic knowledge and common sense you should know that the "/" means 'or'.

if you need to find the definition of or please consult m-w.com. thanks

    LOL.

Yes, I know you got banned for the reason in your quoted email. I did not think I needed to type it verbatim for you to understand that it was not due to a low CTR.

    Good luck!

Yes / can mean OR However neither invalid clicks NOR invalid impressions necessarily mean low CTR. It means they suspect the source of the impressions and/or clicks, not the ratio.

Yeah low CTR can't do anything bad to you, don't know where you heard that from. High is where you have your problems.
