Hello all! I just registered for this forum and I really need help. Let me explain: I have read a bunch of different ebooks pertaining to google and clickbank including the affiliatecashvault, the rich jerk, Google cash, and the Definitive Guide to Google Adwords (most helpful) and I have had little success. I have essentially lost $727.13 to Google due to poor advertising. I was always looking for help, whether it be from forums or products, and I never found any useful information. They all say the same things. My problem is that I never know how many ads to run or how many keywords to have... How many do you usually have per ad? How many ads do you have cycling within Adwords per campaign? I am willing to learn and work hard to make some serious money. What I would like to know is how do one actually does it? Can someone explain step by step how you do everything? What keywords/phrases/negatives do you use for a specific product? I have tried and failed many times and I know that is the key to success, but there is only so much money available for me to continue failing. Do you offer coaching or step by step help? If we can somehow directly communicate (perhaps MSN/AIM/ICQ) that would be great. I guess what I am asking is for a real example. One that is active and already generating income and I understand if you do not want to reveal all the keywords or methods etc. It's just every single book I have read about this gives dinky unrealistic examples that do little more than make me lose large amounts of money. Really, any help would be appreciated and best wishes to your wealth. In addition if someone can volunteer to be my personal coach to help me through this would be great. I would offer money, but I really do not have any because I am a college student at Loyola. I am struggling to make any money and next year I need to buy a car and rent an apartment so I can live on my own. I have no father and I have one brother and my mom is being threatened to get fired. I am in serious need of help and like I said, I have tried so many times and failed. If someone can show me the way even if it is like $1.00 a week, that is still something... Really, any help would be appreciated and best wishes to your wealth. -Yury Vilk
Read this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=218905 I doubt people will share all their secrets. It sounds like you need to do better testing. I would think after $50 you should be able to tell if what you are doing is working or not. Targeted traffic is the key...which is one problem most new Clickbank affiliates run into.
follow the advices in the definitive guide to Google Adwords and Google Cash. You need to have some money to spare...
2 important things: think like the customer feed a starving market I use about 10 keywords per ad campaign.. (when set up properly) I start off at about 30-50 keywords then slowly break up the ad group into smaller more targeted groups.. + delete non performing keywords. make sure you submit your google tracking code to the vendor otherwise you are "blind". depends on the niche as to how many ad groups i have.. basically as many as I can.. then delete the ones that dont work.. usually I will either loose money or break even to start with.. then as I work on the campaign the ROI gets really good.. make sure you split test your ads to improve CTR.. use multiple landing pages to match your ad groups as close as possible.. this will reduce your CPC. good luck.
Hi Yuri, The way I do it is to have two ads per campaign, and see which one gets better click-thru-rate (CTR). Then I delete the underperforming ad and try to improve on the better performing ad. Keep repeating this process for each ad group. Art
Very true, ~-500% ROI isn't probably what you were going for. My advice first off would be to be very careful in what you try when you spend money. A general rule of thumb a lot of us like to keep in mind here when trying new things is to never let the trial of something you're doing exceed the product(s) commission price. In this case, that means that at any point during your trial, if you spent more than you had earned overall, it would have been worth it to save your money, stop your trial, and figure out a better way to go about it. It's definitely realistic that you need to conserve money on testing new things - and that you really do want to learn about how the whole thing works, so let me propose these solutions: A) Conserving money & making sales is a lot easier than you might think if you're willing to put a little time into it. Consider Travis' *free* method of generating sales (it's how he got his start in IM, and he makes some sweet profits right now). All you need is time, and a little creative thinking. You can find that at http://www.bummarketingmethod.com. B) When it comes to having a personal coach, I think many of us would have loved one when starting out, but the reality is that a lot of us have kind of made it on our own, aside from the various ebooks/forums we've read. What this means for you is that it IS possible to be successful at this game without necessarily having a single other person show you all the ropes. For example, I know for myself as well as probably others here that we are quite happy to answer any questions you might send in PM's about a campaign or idea you're trying out. Considering that everyone has their own (slightly differing, at times) methods of making money on the internet, this will probably end up benefiting you a bit more than trying to copy someone else's style verbatim. For me, I know, I got most of the help & tutoring on how to really succeed via that link in my signature - the Wealthy Affiliate. Its combined methods of 1-1 advice, super helpful forum, beginner-advanced resources, and time-saving tools really and totally helped me set up the campaigns I have right now which make me money every day. Anyhow, sorry to digress, but hopefully with some of the things I listed above, you'll have an easier time of it without feeling like you're always going out on a limb with your adspend expenses. Good luck, and feel free to PM me if you need advice in a specific area. -T
lol threads like this scare me... i plan on starting to test this IM stuff next week. if i somehow luck myself into figuring it out i'll be sure to share
Hopefully you'll be able to use some of the things you've learned here so it's a little less "luck" -T
lol in terms of what is learned pretty much all that is said has already been repeated hundreds of times over and over 1. find a market that has a need 1a. satisfy their need or 2. find a niche 2a. find a market with a need for it and a few more specific things like landing pages > direct linking but not enough to get you earning though
