Yikes, 5 hours battery life, 16 for audio. If a phone dies within 24 hours, it's a crap phone IMO.

    Not bad!

But probably means £499 Sterling too.

I was actually hoping that the Google partnership would mean a less expensive phone, and the wireless would be ad-supported

    oh well

This looks like a revolutionary phone.

Would be launched in Asia in 2008. :(
4th Quarter 2007 in Europe and around 4 months in US i think

    KeyNote Prices:
    4GB - $499
    8GB - $599

Prices include 2 year contract with cingular.

You can see the iPhone directly at Apple.com. No need to hit 3rd party sites.

I want my iPHONE! Yes! It's finally here.

    I also want the iTV.

Ahh, but contrary to popular rumours, it's not called iTV, it's called Apple TV!

You know what's funny about that. At Apple.com earlier (I'm talking like an hour ago), it said Apple's iTV. :)

But yes, it's apple TV. Heck, call it what you want, I'm getting it. :)

Looks like they really do keep their products secret then! So secret in fact, that their own marketing department doesn't know what it's called.

Apple today introduced iPhone, combining three products-a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, searching and maps-into one small and lightweight handheld device.

    Evidently. :)

Apple TV is coming to my house. And I don't care that the iPhone is $500 or whatever, I'll take two. Thank you. :)

Anyone else eager to get one of the new iPhones in their hands? My current Verizon contract ends just a couple months after the release of the iPhone - I have to find out if Cingular network is reliable in Vermont. If it is you can bet I will have one of these gorgeous tools at my disposal ASAP.

    Looks like it.
I want to play with iPhone. I wonder if standard things in mobile phones like .mp3, .3gp formats would be supported on iPhone.

And I thought the Blackberry pearl I just got was cool... To bad I just dropped cingular for T-Mobile :(

Anyone know how much cingular rate plans are going to be if you want it all (texting, web, email...)?
