Apple iTV, widescreen iPod, and iPhone just announced

I'm watching http://www.macrumorslive.com/, and the three big announcements have been made!

I want them! All! Now!!!!!

 

Ooooh, the widescreen iPod. I was about to purchase a Zune this week, but I think I might hold off.

I've been waiting up all night for this Keynote and with the announcement of the iPhone, well - it just made it worth the wait. I am BEYOND excited.

 

What about Airport Express Video?

This is stinkin crazy, the iPhone can tell if held in portrait vs landscape - you just rotate it

 

Just dribbled over that myself. It also stops music when you hold it to your ear. Does it scan a pic of your ear or something?!!!

 

It has a sensor to detect ear wax I believe

 

I see, it has a proximity sensor. The pic you posted is actually the phone, not the TV thingy.

How much is this phone?

 

It'll be more than the standard iPod, that's for sure!! I want to know as well:
- can you receive email like a blackberry?
- can you expand the memory (probably not)?
- can you use it with an carrier?

 

It has WiFi so email must be possible. Wonder how texting will work without buttons/stylus!

 

It seems to have a touch screen. Hopefully the screen won't ignore touches as the presenter said it will though. *Wince*

Darn it, that means I have to switch to Yahoo! mail. (guess I'll just forward my gmail)

 

No you can use any, just built-in extra stuff for Yahoo + partnership.

 

So far only Yahoo is providing 'push' mail, though I'm sure that will change soon enough

might not be GPS, might be triangulation on the cell signal, or perhaps just ip2location on the wifi

 

Could be but that's not very accurate though.
