With the raise of googles very clever anti spam algorithms do we think its easier to make money on social media than it is with SEO?

 

It is good to have traffic from both. You can get traffic either from google or social media and the amount of it depends on your work about it and mainly by the quality of your content. The bigger quality you provide the bigger traffic you will get. If done right, social media interactions, shares and google searches will bring you good traffic. By good traffic I mean targetted traffic that converts cuz it is pointless to have tons of bulk traffic with no conversions.

 

If you want to make money by selling Social Media or SEO services, it's a lot faster and easier to start with Social media. Just get tools to automatically increase your customer's followers and tools to automatically post their products/posts. You will need also to learn how to run social media ads (that's not easy but neither difficult).
SEO takes years to learn and Google changes the game continuously.
