*The only thing you need to design is the home page. When you win you will be required to design the second page of the template. $Winner will be paid $65 for the home page design and then an additional $45 for the sub page. Winner will receive a total of $110.* Our client is looking for a design that follows the below example website outlines. Two things which are really important in the design are: 1) The layout must be very simple and clean (as displayed in the wireframes). The college needs to have a fresh and clean look, as well as having being an authority or trustworthy site. The school colors are teal and coral but any fresh-looking green/blue color can be used. 2) As this design is for the ‘Pacific Womens College’, it is important that the images display women. The purpose of the college is to empower women and to give them more opportunities through studying. EXAMPLES Example 1 - https://www.mtholyoke.edu/ We really like this simple layout with the Top banner (that includes the name and logo) and the main image just underneath it that alternates. We would also like it how there is space for a quote and sharable social media icons to the right-hand side of the image. Example 2 - http://www.sbc.edu/ This website is a good example of a college website that has a more feminine feel to it, in regards to fonts and colors used. Again, we like the simple layout. The one thing we don’t like about the main page is that you have to scroll down to see much of the content. Any stock images you use in your design I am willing to pay for at the end of the contest. Also, the images in the design need to focus around healthy happy people and if you use a logo it needs to be an abstract icon that could be used for anything. All questions and submissions must be submitted through the thread. I will not take any PM-ed designs or questions. This way I don't have to repeat myself and the general contest can benefit from your talent and insight. This contest has a time frame of 72 hours but I may extend it longer until I have found the desired winner. Best of luck, and thank you in advance for your great talent. @Mihai101 We'll look forward to your post. --JUST TO CLARIFY ONE MORE TIME... THE LOGO BEING USED IS THE THIRD LOGO DOWN AFTER OPENING THE ZIP FILE (THE FLOWER W/OUT THE STEM). ALSO, WE HAVE REMOVED THE SUB PAGE IMAGE UNTIL AFTER THE CONTEST. IT WILL THEN BE GIVEN TO THE WINNER, THX.
How does this request differ from this one: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/35-vector-college-logo-48-hours.2685920/
this is a web design contest (uncoded) versus a logo contest that was held for the same people by samsom.
Hey @cam_ault This is my first submission for the contest. I tried my best to keep it simple and add the things you enjoyed from other websites, yet stick to your wireframe. Colors are of course just temporary but I thought the combination fit quite well. What do you think? The same goes for the chosen fonts. The images are just placeholders and if you consider my design I will go on the hunt for images you can use! The events section is scrollable and the images are a slideshow of 3, 4 or however many images you want. Feedback would be awesome!
Just want everyone to know that the team is stoked on all your submissions! This is gonna be a hard decision! We will probably rub the contest up through Monday around noon pacific time!
