Contest $35 vector College Logo! (48 hours)

Samantha (Samsom) and I (digital noise) are part of a design team that is doing this contest together. Most feedback will come from Samsom.

Design a logo for Pacific Womens College in Hawaii. Preferably a Hawaiian themed
logo with a touch of femininity (hawaiian flower, map of Hawaiian islands, a wave). The
winner of this fun and simple contest will receive a $35 prize.

Name: Pacific Womens College (include in logo)
Slogan: Educating Women for a Better Tomorrow
Color Scheme: Teal and coral but could also vary

The contest will run for 48 hours or until a clear winner is chosen. The winner will need to provide the logo in Vector and PSD for it will be going on business cards, PWC faculty, student ID cards, etc.

All questions and submission must be submitted through the thread. We will not take any PM-ed designs or questions.

The winning designer will receive $35, paid through paypal. Please let us know in the thread if you have any questions.

@DesignerPROKI This a great start, however, the client would like the map to only be of Hawaii and of the color teal and coral. Also, there is no apostrophe. Thank you so much!

@Ana Designs This is bold and striking, but our client does not like the stars, and the map should be of the Hawaiian Islands. At first, we thought it was too blank in the middle, but the filled map looks much better.

Thank you for all of the submissions so far. The contest has around 25 more hours left to run and the client really likes some of the designs already.
Some feedback:-

@Ana Designs - Could you try using uppercase sans-serif for 'PACIFIC WOMENS COLLEGE' and dropping either an internal or external line? If the external line stays it may need to be doubled in thickness to be visible when the image is small. Our client likes the palm tree and islands - they suggest that the tree/trees are a different color to the islands so that they don't blend together. The Hawaiian islands need to be positioned geographically correct (more diagonal). Thank you, they are considering your designs.
