    yes i will not give up... actually i am back to DP after long time... to offer some service like whiteboard animation.. but find 3 like factor... no problem... i will manage it.. by good content

    I like the spirit. It remain me of myself few months ago.:) My advice:
    1. Be active. Try to explore DP whenever you have time.
    2. Be helpful. Share your knowledge with us
    3. Be Creative. Try to write some humors and it may help you.
    4. Respect the others.
    5. Last, Read Help and Rules Section. (I didn't mean to force you read the rules. Just read whenever you need help and find out the rules)
    Hope you soon being 'Established member' just like many of us in this thread.
    Note: I give you 'like' because you are a someone that full of spirit. Now, you just need to prove yourself as a 'great member' by doing useful things such as five step above.
    Sad, but it is true. Hope OP pay attention to the advice.
    For OP: It mean no need to post to get likes. just help others and enjoy sharing knowledge and opinion. :)

    Well, you're not posting anything worth liking, most of your posts are one liners in Movies, Music & TV forum, no-ones going to give you likes for that crap.
    According to your username you are an "seo master" go to seo section and make some useful posts based on your "seo" experience.
    You also need 3 likes not 2, so it could be harder than you think....

    Very frustrating when you have been a member for 6 years and come back to try and run a few competitions as you've done before and suddenly its as if you were never here (previous positive feedback vanished).
    I am here to pay someone else to do work for my site because I don't have an area of expertise relevant to this site... so how can I contribute to an area I know nothing about enough to get 'likes'?
    So the users on here who could be doing this work and getting paid are not because I am not an expert at the thing I am trying to pay others to do?

    Yes, but only if you can afford it. If you want to run a competition for members to design a logo for $50 that's got to be a positive thing, but if it's going to cost you $175 for a $50 logo you won't do it.

    It's not that I don't appreciate the reasons behind it, but as a returning user who had good feedback under the old system I find myself wondering how I can make people 'like' me, else I will do as many others will have and look elsewhere. It seems a shame.

    Well, if you are here just for design competitions, there are sites that are better suited for it since that's what they *do*. For us, it's nothing more than a benefit for contributing users. You might want to check out these guys for example: http://99designs.com/

    Because you are not female... in this post at 1st page here is the post:

    "I still don't get it, "You must be a member for over 48 hours and have 3 or more likes", I've been here since 2009. I don't see any option in the posts for "Like" feature.
    Anyone help me how to get "like" ??"

    The user got 3 like for the post... coz the profile have a girl picture.

    Sure but it might be for rich persons or well established companies.
    Small Worker and freelancers can't afford it. So they put all their concentration on fine contribution there.
