Building PR (TBPR actually) is not a smart SEO activity….. I have ALSO written an article; http://developers.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/07/24/1358204 And went through this in a thread long ago; http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1136514#post1136514 So those of you who would like to build RANKINGS stop worrying about PR for crying out loud.. get on with it…. this still get's waaaayyyy to much board time and NOOBS are under the impression that it actuall matters Your TBPR (toolBar PageRank) has little to do with rankings...it's a fact. We want rankings (traffic) not pretty little green bars plleaseee
Yes, because pagerank is updated only 3 months... so it could have a power of PR10 , but still be a PR0 , because google only export the PR once a few months
get backlinks , but this is not all please take a look if you didn't done any seo spam on your website... I had a friend who had PR7 and stayed 6 months on a PR2, because of an invislbe text... he accidentaly left in the footer .... So take care to : 1) only link to related website 2) have unique content on all your pages 3) avoid invisibles/hidden divs/layers 4) avoid invisible text, or text that can't be read by human eyes, because the colors are very near-each other like #000001 and #000002 5) no keyword spamming as : I love you Julia, Julia , Julia, Julia Julia, Julia , Julia, Julia Julia, Julia , Julia, Julia i wish you to known you are my life, I want everybody to known that i love i one sexy girl called Julia, Julia, Julia,.ohhh my god julia, julia! i hope you will read this julia, julia, julia ! 6) no title spamming as : calls , calls websites, free calls, paid calls
you should have a lot of backlinks from only related site.. it's better to have backlinks from 50 PR2 sites than from 5 PR5 sites offcourse also content is important, but it can't help in search engines if you're on 33. page
focus on your site content, PR is a nice to have. increase the backlinks to your site. article submission, directory listing, forum signature posting. increase the value for your readers and they'll naturally promote your site for you. exchange links with high PR sites also helps. Focus on the process and the results will come.
hi softgroups. Can you please explain this a little. What do you mean he had a PR7 but stayed on PR2 ? If google was penalizing the site, shouldnt it be banning it and showing no PR at all.. instead of showing a decreased PR ? I'm a little confused here. When your friend removed the hidden text, he jumped to PR7 from PR2, without getting any more significant links?
No , not always, google sometimes give you a PR0 , or a PR2... do you remeber www.msn.com that went from PR9 to PR2 one day?! because google banned them?! lol
buy text links, buy traffic, get peaple seeing your site so they could link to you auto, do link exchanges, spread your url around forums (Dont spam) e.g sig links ect... Get blogs to review your site (I have a pr5 blog and i charge $5 per site review) Ect....
In a nut shell.. Compose some unique and quality content and attempt to gather as many highly ranked PR back links to your website as possible.
Focus on ranking well for the keywords you're targetting. Don't chase after PR... with links will come pagerank.
