Help out a new Digital Point Forum User / Forum Information in General

I am new to using Forums and I would like Forum tips. I have uploaded a signature and photo...are there other things I should do for my profile?

I am looking for any general or specific Forum advice..... Thanks!

 

Hello- Maybe not worry about your profile too much and work on building a good reputation and making good comments on threads. Welcome to the world of forums!

 

Just follow the rules and contribute, those are the two basic things you should be doing.

There is a Buy, Sell, and Trade section. There is a minimum membership time and post count requirement for using it, but all posts about buying and selling products and services should go in there. It has a reputation system, meant to help minimize the amount of scamming that happens.

Regarding your signature, you can have 2 links as a free member (4 as paid). Free members have NoFollow tags on their signature links and guests do not see the signature. Paid members get DoFollow signature links.

 

Eh, this might be a bit to late to post but does anyone know how to make threads? I'm new to the whole forum thing and I'm having trouble starting one. Is it the same 'start a new conversation' or are conversations something different?

 

First of all make sure you read the forum rules and guidelines and after that make sure that your presence is enjoyable for others as well as for you.

By the way, there is a Support section on DP that is perfect for the questions that you are asking, though you have received good answers already. You might want to post future such questions there for a quicker and more official response from the moderators.
