    Right now?

    House - Dems
    Senate - Reps

could change though. It'll be a thin majority either way, no matter what.

It's going to take a major swing for the Dems to take both.

I'm really looking forward to the blanket coverage we'll be getting over here on the BBC in England. :)

Are you people naive enough to believe that a change from republicans to democrats will have an effect on our country???????? It will be business as usual and tahst why i will never vote. If my vote did make an impact it will be for the green party.

Things could have been very different. Maybe no Iraq war, maybe no N.korea nuke test, maybe no Taliban re-formation, maybe no looming fiscal disaster, maybe an acknowledgment of global warming.

You Brits have a FAR more urgent fiscal crisis than we have, nearly twice as bad as our national debt. I'd be more worried (if I were unlucky and crazy enough to be you) about the UK's backyard than some other nation if I were you.

    how dare they!

my names MRMOJO and I know nothing about economics but when I say a Brit talking about US economics I just had to say something!

aww, national debt, I misread that:

    OK hows this then:

The US national debt is not as large per the respective GDP's as the UK's.

there, that should fit your crumpet nicely :)
