Just wordering How did DP originated

Can Shawn, WKW and other moderators tell what they did to elevate digitalpoint forum ? Please share your secrets.

What they did to promote DP to get traffic, build links , bring members/moderators ?
How much did they spent initially over it to bring DP to the top of the world

Have they faced any difficulties or legal situations ?

I am also willing to build such a huge forum and to compete DP .
Best of luck to DP, beware of me. :D

That thread is not telling the truth. Shawn had a dream and Wiggly spoke to him in the dream telling him to buy a vbulletin license and create the coop network. Like in "Field of Dream", if you build it, they will come :)

Why, are you trying to win someone is heart ;) , it's not a secret, DP is online since 1995 lol, if it wasn't like this so it's trash .. that's the minimum a forum of this could be, and one more thing ..." a forum with no members, is like shop with no sellers " so why you may enter the shop or care about it ?

I initially spent $160 for a vBulletin license.

No promotion was done outside of digitalpoint.com

Think about it, they have great tools, ppl use the tools, and then move on to the forum.... its just positive feed back
Good tools, leads to ppl using the forum, leads to ppl using the tools

and if there's lots of interacting ppl in the forum, more ppl are inclined to join (yet further positive feed back)

Shawn, how long did it take to get to the point where the site had members joining on a daily bases?

Last question please, Even though you have not promoted your site , How did you get visitors to your SEO tools and sandbox ?

(I agree that visitors to DP.com must have registered with DP forum and this is how you built up your forum.)

And also Is the pic in your Avatar is yourself OR somobody else ? looks cool :)

Yes, that's from the day the forum started.

People came to the tools because everyone told everyone else about them (word of mouth).

    The avatar pic is me.
