Article Submissions in Google

Discussion in 'Google' started by SEO Consulting, Sep 28, 2006.

We have had several discussions about how many articles one should submit to a number of content relevant directories to improve SERP for medium difficulty keywords (50-60% range) and did not come to any agreement. Any thoughts?

    I posted this yesterday.

Well in my experience you need to do 4 things.

    1) Write an article and submit to as many sites as possible.
    2) Write a better article and email sites in your niche asking if they want to publish it free of charge with a credit link to your site
    3) Write an amazing article and only publish it on your site
    4) Email sites offering to custom write an article for their site with a credit to your site

Its not about using 1 article and lots of promotional methods. You need to use multiple articles for a variety of tasks.

I submit 50 a week but to be honest, SERPs or links aren't my primary concern. Distribution and conversion is what I am after.

You meant 50 articles a week? If so then I need to learn and catchup :)

I submit 2 articles a week to 160 directories and yes all the articles have BLs.

Yup, 50 is what I meant although I don't bother with 160 directories as most are a waste of time. There are probably 10 good ones.

The rest of the distribution is to groups and publishers. That ensures my articles get on unique sites all the time.

Yeah, I have 5 people right now although I proofread every single article I publish

    Thanks for the input.
My articles are ok for its popularity and subscription however I can only do 2 a week. My fields are unique and it is difficult to find someone to write for me.

What do you write on? Or get stuff written on? I have been brainstorming on getting some articles done for myself and I am stuck after getting 10 done - can't think of new topics - although its just one niche.

Do you write on more then one niche?

I don't do MFA sites so I write on the topics that support my existing ecommerce sites. It also happens to be a subject I know a LOT about which helps build credibility.

Hmm cool thing. I might as well take over my client's ecommerce sites - they could be great.

50 articles a week is a ton of material. Even editing that much must be some serious stuff. But, definitely makes sence to keep a good business going. I can only imagine ysf1, you must really know a lot just to come up with 50 differrent articles... at all. I can imagine that it must be tough just to come up with the topics alone.

If you sign up as affiliate to 1000 products - you have 1000 articles to write. If you spin and come up with 4 topics per item - you have 4000 articles to write. How difficult could that be?

As stated above he submits to about 10 sites. I assume these are the ones that feature strongly in Google.
