Call of Duty 6 (Modern Warfare 2) [Official Discussion Thread]

Call me different and all, but in my opinion Modern warfare 2 wasn't quite as good as the original (COD 4) I don't know why but the original was more fun for me

Then again, i don't have an xbox live GOLD account

 

Mw2 is alright but they have totally screwed the Multiplayer now. Like today I was trying to join a Game in Domination and of course it was exploited and the game was on Rust. I instantly left, I don't want to play a game where people can change the Online Multiplayer that easily. Not to mention the Glitches it had, like the annoying Javelin Glitch, at least it was patched though.

 

I want to announce my 14th nuke at PS3 MW2 map:quarry type:Team deathmatch express.
Killstreak: Chopper Gunner, IEM, and of course, the NUKE! (This was exceptional, as normally I play with Chopper or harrier, Chopper Gunner and nuke)

The story:

I was starting at the high part of the map, UMP45 with the perk that does extra damage and penetration (In spanish its called "Punta encamisada" so I guess its something like "jacketed bullets" when I typed it in the translator), Scavenger Stopping Power and Commando. As a secondary weapon I used the PP2000 as I was lvl 62 Prestige 2 but I would always use the 1887 shotgun if possible.

I started runnning against the enemy from the part that has like a metal bridge, killed 3, semi-camped at their spawning spot and immediately retired to call in my chopper gunner. 19 killstreak, called in IEM and pwned those 6 left that appeared from the gasoline storage at the upper part of the map. Bomb called in as soon as I got rape... killed by a sniper (sniped down from the windows down on the center-right of the map when trying to kill a last-standed guy) and punched in a 27-2 in their faces!

My max kill streak is of 38 in rundown. Add me for some COOL fun juanoo9z on PS3. SPANISH POWER

 

I would like to mention that there is a Prestige 10 hack rank up going on on the PS3. I consider a Prestige 10 that has hacked the game and can't win the game isn't a good player but a total looser. Please don't do this hack, you wont get prestige and respect for it, at least for the people like me who want to play fairly and have a good time

 

I am not sure if it will win it at the moment. It seems some people were let down when they first played it.

 

Getting prestige doesn't mean anything, mostly means you played a lot. getting a hacked one means having no life what so ever that you have to show off to a bunch of people on the net that you will probably not meet in person.

 

So any new guys here? I'm sure a few of you must have received MW2 for Christmas!

its a great game got it yesterday for xmas.

 

I really admire your ability to appreciate something like that - I know that I'm always making the comparison between the visuals of games so I could never go back to a dated game like that, even though they'd probably be very fun .

Modern warfare 2 is an awesome game. Tried it on live the last couple of days. What bugs me is the parents who buy it for their kids when it is a mature 17+ rated game. Would those same parents take their kid to a porn flick? I doubt it. I think they should have an age verification for xbox games. Of course the hacks would work around it but it might put some of the kiddies off.

It technically isn't the sixth game in the Call of Duty series. As for the game itself, I like the single player story but I hate the Multiplayer. There's too many campers and I've often found myself putting in CoD:MW to run and gun.
