Google De-Indexing? 21st/27th of June All Over Again?

OK it would appear that Google has virtually dropped my site again. I was originally hit but the 21st of June Google incident, but sometime during late July my site pages were "relisted" and the penalty removed. So I thought this were all good again and my forums was back to running as normal (I have a forum with 130K+ posts) and last week the forum had 16,000+ pages listed and then a few days ago it dropped down to 20... what is going on?

You have too many duplicate titles. Google has a duplicate filter and it seems to be triggered when you do not have different page titles, desc and tags.

Make all your pages different....wait 1-2 months and you will see the result. As we have learn from coding sites that use templates you need to create a dynamic header that creates a diffferent title, desc etc.

Proof is 540 then 17,100 from google site:

I can see a lot of your pages are supplemental as well.

Google has been dropping these pages in recent weeks.

Iam running into a similiar problem with google. My sites 8 months old, I finally got out of the sandbox for good keywords on the 27th, when things were changing in google. Was showing up. Then when google went back to old serp listings I vanished for those keywords. Then today google went back to the 27th listing for those serps and now I show up for those keywords. Is this something I should expect to continue. Is this a sign of coming out of the sandbox. These are competive keywords, I just wish google can get it right this time. thanks, hope to hear from ya.

So are you saying I shouldn't have the title set to "Runescape Boards - thread/category title" or are you saying I should set it to "Thread title - Runescape Boards" or are you saying I should remove the meta description?

G has been hitting our sites hard - seems it's mainly duplicate content issues and low trust-rank.

What I ahve noticed is that as the sites im working on use OScommerce, each product has two urls to them, one with the category id in the querystring and one without - and google delists the one with the least (sometimes internal) links to it :/

    Real simple

    We have site:www.swapshop.co.nz for showing 540 nows its Results 1 - 10 of about 40,600 from www.swapshop.co.nz for . (0.25 seconds)

The major change from a smarty template was.

Every page, very advert, has the following

    Unique Title
    Unique Description
    Unique Meta tags

Title reflects is taken from the description for us dynamically.

    For Example

    Home page is http://www.swapshop.co.nz

<title>Swap Buy Sell, Swap Shop, Classifieds Auctions Swapshop New Zealand</title>

<meta name="Description" content="Free Online Classifieds Auctions , Swap Shop, Swap, Buy, Sell, Trade, Exchange, Freebies, Giveaways Swapshop Classifieds New Zealand.">
<meta name="Keywords" content="online classifieds auctions, swap shop, swap buy sell, buy sell exchange, free giveaways, new zealand classifieds, second hand , used, used dvd, used computers, used cars parts, second hand cds, used music, used ipods, used books, second hand movies, car auctions, car classifieds, online dating, fta satellites">

A advert page or a help page will have a different title, desc and tags to the above.

This works for us after 5-6 months after triggering googles duplicate filter.

With the title and correct me if I am wrong put your site name/comapny last and some good keywords first. Dont use :: or - as examples they mite be pretty but they dont serve you well.

    So in this case
    site:www.rsboards.com

    Shows Results 1 - 4 of about 11,500 from www.rsboards.com for . (1.68 seconds)

But heres the thing we found out the hard way

This is your warning message below.....

In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 4 already displayed.
If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.

Sooner or later you will trigger the duplicate filter at Google.

Change all yout titles, desc and tags to be different based on the page content......

    Again see site:www.swapshop.co.nz

    Results 1 - 10 of about 40,400 from www.swapshop.co.nz for . (0.30 seconds)

    Hope this helps

OK well that makes sense that have different title and meta tags. So my forums say I want to achieve something like this:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=129432

And in addition to those title tag adjustments I should also make my meta tag description dynamic. Well obviously the best source of a description when it comes to forum threads I'd imagine would be the post itself, but some posts obviously go for a long time and some posts are short so as a meta description I'd imagine the best way to dynamically create a description for each page would be to set it up so that the description="thread title, forum title, category title, first 15 words of the post" or something to that effect. But how would you implement something like this, and is implementing something like this a good idea?

Also what could be done for the meta keywords of each thread on the forum, how would dynamically create these in such a way that they were both effective and not completely duplicated.
