I have done every activity for getting back links but i want to tell you that creating blog is the best activity.

 

There are lot of ways to get backlinks, you can do social book marking, directory sub, article sub, blog creation, comment posting and so on.

 

ya,back links are most important for a website , and directories, articles,blogs comments,forums are main activity for back links.

 

relevant & do follow back link is good way for site promotion.

 

blog commenting and article submission is also a good way of increasing back links

 

yeah I agree with you creating a blog is one of the best way go get good back links. It's more trust looking.

 

all of the above tactics do work.

However, speaking from many years of SEO experience (including using the above tactics) those tactics are only useful for new websites.

The most important link building technique is this: write super good content.

Just think about it. When you are browsing the internet and you see a great article what do you do? YOU TELL YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!! People will post links to your content on forums, facebook.com, myspace.com, put links to your page on their blogs so on so forth. Let your readers do the link building for you.

That is the best strategy because GOOGLE WAS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE PAGES BASED ON REAL PEOPLE LINKING TO GOOD CONTENT!!!!!!!!!

Your strategy should look like this:

75% writing good content
15% market research (what are internet users SEARCHING for? what keywords will users be searching for IN THE FUTURE?)
10% direct seo/marketing (only for new sites with low initial traffic)

Everyone says blog commenting - but hasn't dofollow been disabled in every wordpress installation since 1.5? Meaning like 95% of the active or recent blogs out there today won't be dofollow?

 

I think blogging, forum signature and social bookmarking are top 3 channels for building backlinks.

 

Sorry to be so ignorant but what is a social bookmark?
