Looking at the html source for their page shows that the script looks different from the one that Google generates for me. Per TOS tweaking script is not allowed. But I also read in the following thread that publishers with large number of impressions may be allowed to modify the script: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=103063&highlight=digg.com+ad+blocks
I am unsure of whether i should remove "advertise on this site" feature. what do you ppl suggest? thanks in advance
Where should I place Google ads on my pages? "While this heat map is useful as a positioning guideline, we strongly recommend putting your users first when deciding on ad placement. Think about their behavior on different pages, and what will be most useful and visible to them. You'll find that the most optimal ad position isn't always what you expect on certain pages." http://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/answer.py?answer=17954
Section targetingTo implement section targeting, you'll need to add a set of special HTML comment tags to your code. These tags will mark the beginning and end of whichever section(s) you'd like to emphasize or de-emphasize for ad targeting. The HTML tags to emphasize a page section take the following format: <!-- google_ad_section_start --> <!-- google_ad_section_end --> You can also designate sections you'd like to have ignored by adding a (weight=ignore) to the starting tag: <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) --> http://google.com/support/adsense/b...&subid=ww-en-et-asblog_2006-08-10&medium=link
