Check out this guy.. Created 5/19/09 . http://buy-pepper-spray-today.com/

Not only did he steal my images.. but he copied most of my articles, return policy, structure and even CUSTOMER REVIEWS!! Except he changed the name on the reviews... This guy is a COMPLETE FRAUD!!

How should I handle this?:eek::mad:

Contact his hosting provider and ask them to close his site

You can send an email to him, notifying him that you are aware of his actions - kindly requesting him to take it down, before you send him some lawyer letters.

btw, he probably seen that you already know, from the links from this post : ))

    Good luck!

FAX a DMCA takedown notice to his host, to Google (get him de-indexed), and to his advertisers.
This Google page gives good idea on how to file a DMCA. Most hosts etc... will not act without a proper DMCA takedown notice.

As tobycoke says, DMCA notices are useful. I have a tool for DMCA notices in my signature line (not pretty, but it's helpful).

The website is registered with GoDaddy, whose WHOIS information is located here: http://who.godaddy.com/WhoIs.aspx?domain=buy-pepper-spray-today.com&prog_id=godaddy

    The registrant is:

    Joseph Morris
    118 Main Street
    Nazareth, Pennsylvania 18064
    United States

    +1.4844779702

There's another thread about the same guy here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=847879

A quick google shows that may be a joejob but others are saying that it;s correct. That's why I didn;t use that information.

I just go straight to the host now a days.

What do you think? Left or right side of the street?

White Pages shows there's a North and South Main Street, the North one apparently having apartments. Maybe he's in there?

He seems to be located at 199 Brookside Lane in the same city according to information showing up in Google but not on DomainTools anymore: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q="4844779702"&aq=f&oq=&aqi= (Result 2). It's possible he is really at 199 Brookside and changed it to another address to avoid people who had been contacting him in other disputes.

Or he lives at Brookside address, and has an office on Main St.

Nazareth is where Mario Andretti the Indy Race guy lives (lived?)

Welcome to the Sue Happy United States. Thanks for making our court systems even more backed up.

I wouldn't do that. I would go the DMCA/ Complain to the webhost route first. Suing first instead of following up with other (and cheaper) options may back fire. Especially if you wind up with a judge who doesn't take too kindly to you wasting the court's time.

edit: It's interesting that the original poster hasn't responded and the "scam" site is still up. Usually DMCA's get dealt with fairly quickly here in the US. I'm beginning to wonder if something is fishy here.

    Before doing all these stuff

Better Email him once with polite warning and ask him to remove all ur articles and not to copy anything here on. if no reply than go ahead and SUE him

    Congrats :)

We get a lot of threads around here where the poster will start and we'll never see them again. I was thinking this was yet another one of those.

    Any pics yet?
