Hey all, I am really very much distressed. I have an image hosting website, www.picsvilla.com My site has grown 3 months old, and till now i got no rank.. People said do backlinks, but that really did not work till yet. I have exchanged link will all the websites having PR +2 but near about 8 but still i have not got any page rank,, Traffic is much easier for me, in each month i get near about 20000 PV's Daily on an average but PR.. UFF.. What should i do.. Please help.. What is the use of PR?
I get the same problem .. I've launched my site 3 months ago, now it has hundreds of backlinks.. mostly from high pr pages .. But it still has 0/10 PR .. Maybe google missed my site ..
Although I have already got pr 2 so far I've got about a 1000 more back links since the last pr update so I'm expecting pr 3 soon. Looks like google is taking a while to update it, probably because of the caffine update.
PR has not been updated since your site started (3 months), so you are not getting PR. Once updated you will get the PR. The PR update is most likely round the corner, can happen any time now.
i don't know why are looking for PR , It will set for you automatically , just focus on your site's content, if it is good then people will share it . Well you also mention that you have good traffic then don't think about PR, just think about traffic only. Traffic will help you not PR, PR Is not very important. The most important factor in search engine is your site content only. Just submit your sitemap link in google webmaster so that googlebots can crawl your site.
I believe getting PR is easier than getting traffic ( assuming you're solely relying on the SE's for traffic
Either your backlink is not provide enough PR juice or your site was set up after the previous PR update. Let's wait until the next PR update and see the result
Yea for some the same problem applies. I too find it very hard to get PR and I am not sure about the reason.
If you're getting that many hits a day, I don't see why you're worrying about PR, but I'm sure it'll all change with the next PageRank update
PR should not matter at all to you, your site's success is based on traffic so if you can get traffic you shouldn't care about PR.
Are you going to be selling links? If you are then you will loose your pagerank quicker than you got it, as said by Shawn himself, he said he wouldl sooner have the traffic than the pagerank! If you are not selling the site nor are you selling links then don't worry plus your site is PR0 not N/A so your site is getting noticed by google but it takes time
I've created an entire post about Google PageRank on the matter because there are so many like you that are also having the same challenge. Getting PR should not be your goal, traffic actually should but since they can sometimes go hand-in-hand I understand why you are tracking your PR. When it really boils down to it, I would rather have 10k unique visitors monthly with a PR1 than 1k visitors monthly with a PR4.
Google has not updated the PR (on toolbar) since their last PR update 3 months ago. So, just wait and see. If you are doing your SEO effors properly you should neverthless see positive results in your rankings.
Dont get upset. Google PR update is still in process. May be it will be announced soon officially. Then you will get good rank depends on your traffic and your quality back link count.
