How many people actually use the "Add to rating feature"?

How many people actually use the add to rating featured of a user in digital point? I am not a big forum guy adn this is one of the only ones I use, but just today after 200 posts did I realize there was a little button that looks like a old school scale in the top right of the post, next to my name. On hover that says "add to rating". Now, it says I have 25 points...so,

A.) Do you use them?
B.) How did I get the points I have? By default or was my rating button actually clicked 25 times?
C.) Does it carry any value?

I might be retarded and this could be a sticky topic, but I don't see it anywhere so it made me curious. Also, you would think that if it helped someone they would say "add to my rating please" after you get a good response or something. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT iTrader...this is the rating of the post. I'm very curious.

Thanks...just read through it...is that how you get different sayings under your name as well? Like, "Champion of the Naaru" and stuff like that?

 

I use it a lot if someone has taken the time to give a good informative answer to a question, whether I asked the question or not. I like when forums have a "thanks" feature myself.

 

I think 2 out of 10 use the "Add to rating feature".....
