How To Get More Followers In Twitter?

I just joined twitter and would like to get some tips from you guys on how to get more followers in twitter?

There is an insane amount of software out there that allows you to add followers at a 10 fold rate, stupid if you ask me.

Just become active within your twitter account. Don't post crap, you aren't allowed many characters in your updates anyways, but don't post a million updates in 1 day. Especially if what you are updating is crappy and no-one wants to read it or follow you to see what you have to say next time.

Communicate with others even if they aren't already following you, if its good, they will follow.

 

Unfortunately the quickest and best way is to get some automated software to follow tons of people. This used to work a lot better, but Twitter has limited the amount of people you can follow in one day to 500 (you used to be able to follow as many people as you want). This tactic is how I ended up with about 5k followers on my personal Twitter account (http://twitter.com/Ascendancy).

I think that to get followers on Twitter, if you are persistent, do so in a reasonable way, and ask people to follow you, you can do well without software doing it for you.

 

Definetly just start following some people, and interacting with them. A lot of people automatically follow you if you follow them, and if you interact with them, it might attract some of their followers.

PS. Don't use the free software, I tried it, and it's basically crap.

 

Best thing is to use a service Twollo and search on terms that are related to your niche and follow them. Use services like Tweetlater to set up your own tweets and have a responder for follow messages sending them to offer or squeeze page. There is a limit on people you can follow in a day. Once you start doing this and more you tweet with targeted keywords the more you will see people following you as well.

 

Make interesting tweets. Set up a nice photo + background. Reply to people.

 

Post interesting tweets nothing spammy and target followers from your niche

 

Use Twellow and target individuals in your niches and follow them, they will follow you back if they like the sound of you.
