I just wondering the result I will get if i'm purely focusing on SEO traffic generation strategy for my website.

Is it really worth for my time and efforts???

    How about you?:D

Depends how good you are. SEO makes me 10s of thousands of dollars. It makes some people millions and it makes lots of people nothing.

Depends on your site really. You need to provide a service. You are better investing in a better website than you are in SEO, if it's a either or situation.

It depends on many factors :) For me, I go first in the competition of the niche, if it is extremely competitive, I suggest you just go to PPC. It would give you fast traffic that can convert to leads or sales. But you need to have a budget for it, that's the only advantage I can see with it.

Actually, you can target both traffic and ranking. Social networking is one of the best method to increase short time targeted traffic. You can then employ different link building methods in order to rank your website.

I always think that long term over short term is best but I think it's good to have a good balance. It just makes things easier!

Like everyone said, it depends. But in general doing a good SEO is worth much more than other activities (like endless producing of content or spam etc)

If you are selling something then focus on SEO but if you are just trying to get lots of untargeted traffic then there are lots of ways to get traffics,

It all depends on your niche and market. Some markets do not need SEO apart from the branding factor (You'll always want to rank for your brand). If you have an "Ice Cream Truck Company" why would you need to rank for something that nobody searches for. At the same time it would be nice to have a website for your customers to provide feedback on your products and services (for example) or to show your schedule.

Is SEO worth the time, again depending on your niche, it can make a huge difference in your income. Ranking in the top ten can exponentially increase your income and work flow.

It is extremely important you really know and understand SEO, if you are wasting hours every day submitting to search engines than you don't have a clue and it is better if you spent that time handing out flyers.

SEO is only worth if your business has search engine traffic potential and if you really know what you are doing, if you don't than don't waste your time, google bandwith and stick to offline advertising.

Wanna see just how effective seo is.....?

Thats not counting the paypal account...

The revenue is from a ecommerce store that I built and opened for business in Oct 08...it took me a couple of months to build it...and at the end of Dec 08 it broke 5 figures in sales...and didn't look back!

I just recently sold this website and I've sold them before...and most of that is because of SEO...of course you need the knowledge, work etchic etc...
