There's nothing strange about it. Google has begun doing tests with using images next to ads on random sites. We've been talking about it in a dozen threads for the last 2/3 weeks.
It seems i`m blind. I think this is one of the best things google has done with adsense. But we should be able to choose if showing ads with images or without
Well they've just been testing it out for a few weeks. I'm sure once they finish and have their data, they'll decide rather to implement it or not, and then they'll probably give us the option. Adsense seems to be good with giving their publishers options when it comes to what appears on their site.
It looks like Google is experimenting with their own version of the image trick. Check out the image next to the above Google ad. The neat thing is the image is clickable. However, I have no idea which ad the image links to since clicking on your own ad is against the TOS.
It's random. It doesn't show up everytime. I guess if it does, then people will start getting ad blind to it.
http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=108953 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=107136 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=100918 They work like adlinks unit. You can click on them, and they'll give you a list of paying ads. The first click is within TOS.
It's great Google advise publishers to place borders between the adverts and any images that are nearby because it may reduce conversions for advertisers thus reducing our earnings yet they force this upon us in their own experiment.. don't you think? Pete
I have never seen any images at my google adsense. But surely one Picture is more than thousand letters. Nuttymarketer
so putting a border around the image will be within TOS so you don't need to put an actual like HR tag between it then? i keep on reading two different types and i just decided to do both haha.
