Weak! This is a non-story that is only getting play because of the 24/7 news coverage of modern times. It reminds me of whatever the hullaboo was in January with.. Shoot, I can't even remember. That's what this is. Something no one will remember in a month (or even a couple of weeks.) There's just nothing on Obama. He's doing a good job in very difficult circumstances. He's doing the best he can to pull this country out of a big hole. If you saw his town hall meeting yesterday you know that he's on the top of his game. It's so refreshing to have a President that speaks to the American people in an intelligent thoughtful manner.
I think I'd make more progress talking to a wall than yourself. Are you going to call every criticism of your Messiah "weak" and a non-story? It seems to me Obama either knew what was going to happen and expressed fake anger, or Geithner was acting independently in which case he would serve as a scape goat.
He said that because he is right- we don't have time to blame people, we need to get the money back to the American people, not blame the Senator.. I would have said the same thing about a republican senator. What Dodd did is wrong, hopefully he will be primaried out or lose election for his seat for what he did, but placing the blame on all these people is just bogus. Communist nation, you really make me laugh... here is an argument by someone with socialist/communist beliefs stating Obama is not a socialist or statist: How about you show me some proof that he is a socialist? That's all you ultra right wingers do- say random bullcrap without backing up your facts.
Ah, how the tables have turned. Not long ago it was unpatriotic not to support our President during difficult times. Now these same people are hoping for our country's failure because the President is now a Democrat instead of a Republican. Barack Obama won a solid victory in 2008 and he is our country's President. He certainly has far more of a mandate than George "500,000 less votes than Gore" Bush ever had. If you really believe in democracy and in the ideals that America stands for, then you'd be giving Barack Obama a chance to succeed rather than supporting the people trying to drag him down.
Wow! NOBODY has EVER called me a right-winger before! Is that how you think? Anyone who disagrees with you must be politically opposite to you? Do you expect and demand that all Democrats must march, lock-step, and agree with all Democrats? Are you one of those people that believe in "Actung! My party, right or wrong"? Listen up, cupcake. I am DEFINITELY NOT an ultra-right winger.
"We don't have time to blame people"? Gee, why are so many liberals blaming Bush? Isn't that, by your definition, bogus? Aww, you want Dodd primaried out or just lose his seat? So, you're saying that if a Democratic Senator violates his oath of office, breaks Senate rules, and openly admits to violating the separation of powers in the US Constitution - that you feel that absolutely no charges should be filed and we should just completely forget about it? Is THAT your position WaffleStomp, hmmm??? Were you laughing during high school social studies? Do you deny that in a Communist nation, the Government owns all the major industries? That the intent of a Communist nation is that the government knows how to better run corporations than the corporations do? (oh, BTW - socialism and communism are not necessarily the same thing).
Just for the record, I completely agree. I support President Barack Obama and I hope for the best. But I never blindly support anyone and Obama is screwing it up. I place much of the blame on Congress - and I blame Pelosi more than Obama. Um, I wouldn't call an election where 47% of the people didn't vote for the winner a "solid victory". If you really believed in the ideals that American stands for, then you would know that America is NOT a democracy, America is a Republic.
TODAY: Obama's Approval Rating is 62% Obama won 53% of the vote in 2008. The last President to win 54% or more was Ronald Reagan in 1984. Considering how partisan this country is, 53% is a damn strong performance and definitely a "solid victory."
We are quickly becomming a socialist nation. What do you think it is when the government has a say over which medical operations you can receive, they can monitor your medical records (HIPPA anyone?), and it will all be paid for by tax dollars? It was not a solid victory. He is not my president, and I will not support him until he proves, as McCain had to, that he is, as required by the US Constitution, that he was born in the US. Until then, i will not support him, and I will hope that he succeeds, for the nation. BUT, I see him ruining this country more and more every day. Not just him, but Pelosi and the rest of the Congress that are passing these rediculous laws, full of earmarks, just like Obama said he would stop. He was full of lies, continues to hide things, and, is an all around horrible President ALREADY, IMO, and many others. He has a lot to prove, as he is so horribly inexperianced. I don't kow what this nation was thinking when they elected a freshman senator. So, where is this change at? The only change I have seen is now the US is run by Dems instead of Reps. The media gave him a free ride and painted this perfect picture of the Messiah, but, hey, it's ok, comrades.
Got news for you, Bush didn't cause the recession, he merely speeded up the process with the wars. We were heading this way over 10 years ago, when Clinton was pres. However, I do not blame him. I blame Congress. They need to revamp the way they do things there, there needs to be more regulation on how they do things. Its time American's start getting nosey in what really goes on there. It is really, in essence, the American People's fault for allowing it to happen. True American's do not support that man, they support the office. I refuse to support him. I support his office. It is really hard to explain my position on this. I am not, a horrible right wing uber conservative guy. I am a moderate, that does not affiliate with either party (I). I make my own choices based on my own research. I write and call my congressmen/women regularly to voice my opinion. I have personally met both of my Senators and always have a personal message sent back to me, as opposed to standard canned responses, because I am so active. They may not be directly from the Senators, but, they do come from their offices. People being sheep and blindly following someone instead of standing up and making their own choices, instead of not letting the media tell them what they think, that is what has got our country where we are today. I am with you though, now is the time to put money into the stock market, yeah, we may get a huge gain after 5-10 years, but, guess what? We're doing our part. I have almost 100k dollars in various corp stocks. However, being an Iraqi war vet, with a messed up back and knees, received because of fighting for this country, signing a blank check to the American people for "anything up to and including, my life" I take it as a personal slap in the face, like he is standing here spitting on my face while I lay on the ground, that he would even think about making vets pay for their own treatments, etc. for things they received from serving this country. I don't think I can ever respect or trust him now. I tried giving him a few months, but, he jues keeps digging himself deeper and deeper. And that last point, was the straw that broke the camel's back. He has no chance.
Of course his approval rating is falling, he is spending billions (Or trillions in the near future) of American tax paying money and believe it or not Americans have opinions and they don't agree with spending that much money on a plan which is not definite or "sound". It's a risk to spend that much money not only that it's going to banks.
The president doesn't spend money, congress does, with the president signing off on it. Either way, they have spent 1.5 trillion dollars already, and that is a 1.5 trillion dollar deficit just until now. I thought he said the deficit would be cut in half by the end of his first term? Ready for a huge Tax Hike?
Winning 53% of the popular vote doesn't make Obama another Reagan. It's not solid that Obama is a natural born citizen. Obama hasn't named the hospital he was born in nor the attending doctors. Members of Congress have even questioned Obama's status. It's not solid that Obama is a natural born citizen. Obama hasn't named the hospital he was born in nor the attending doctors. What flavor kool-aid are you drinking
Obama's Approval Rating Now At 65% Dear neocons: We gave Bush 8 years to destroy the country. Give Obama some time to fix the mess. Please stop it with the silly attacks on the President. If you've got something good, then great. I respect thoughtful intelligent criticism. But all of the weak attacks are nothing but a distraction.
The Fed has started to print money to fund the US budget deficit. We are drinking the kool-aid. US Fed buys $ 1 trillion in Treasury securities http://obama.wsj.com/article/013R9pw9C61sf?q=Federal+Reserve
Questioning his eligibility to be president when his opponent was forced by Congress to prove his BEFORE the election is intelligent questioning that is based on my lack of ability to blindly follow someone just because the news and people who drink his kool-aid say I should. It didn't take Bush less than 3 months to spend 3.5 trillion, more than 1.5 trillion deficit. It took him until he had to fund wars for this country's national defense. I don't listen to any polls, they are skewed to show the results they want based on who payed for them. It's quite easy. To get his true approval rating they need to get a hold of 100% of the US citizens. Until someone actually does that, I'm not drinking. These are not silly attacks, these are attacks based on the FACT that he has no plan to deliver on his promises.
The stock market must be drinking that so called "kool aid" today too.. right? ***Zibblu makes more cash***
You mean society makes more cash right, since you oppose individual property? Feel free to send me my checks.
Sounds like "Star Wars: Episode 3". Will America become an Empire? (Cue the conspiracy theorists) That was not questioned during the 2008 campaign? It's like we are part of some drastic socio-economic change. Wait a minute we are part of some drastic socio-economic change somewhat. (Cue the conspiracy theorists)
