I got an infraction for this post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1003877#post1003877 with this reason "Inappropriate Post/Thread", how do I get details on what was wrong with it?

Also my post was made almost a week ago, is someone going back into old posts to post infractions?

How many infraction points to you get before getting banned?

    thanks

Stop screwing around! You've been warned before (and banned) so don't play dumb.

I included an explanation w/ the infraction. And if you want one for a more recent post, I can arrange for that.

These threads are the new "red rep" threads which where the "got kicked from adsense" threads. Maybe fryman will get a new image for them...

As I posted on another infraction thread, for more information on the new infraction system, you can refer to one of the several other threads on the topic:

"Stop screwing around! You've been warned before (and banned) so don't play dumb." - The only reason I was given before was a problem with my signature, I corrected that. I stated the reason you gave in my first post and was hoping you could expand on it ("Inappropriate Post/Thread").

    thanks

    Not true.

Check the PM, I stated the exact reason. It should be there....if not, please let me know.

I just got the email for this infraction and it does state the reason. "same thread over and over and over and over." I never recieved a PM about the infraction.

I am a little concerned with this type of infraction:

    1. I have never posted this exact thread before (similar ones, yes) but this time I was offering the links throughout my entire network of sites and at other times I offered them among certain groups of my sites.

    2. Different folks are always looking to purchase links at different times. I notice every couple of weeks a few folks jump in and buy links then it is a different group over the next couple of weeks. This is because people start up new sites or have allocated advertising dollars at different times.

Is the rule that if I post an offer once I can not ever post it again?

That would really not make much sense and I think my iTrader feedback of 38 perfect unique transaction attests to the fact that I am providing a worthwhile service to my fellow DP members (even if some don't agree with selling links).

Also waiting on an anser on how many infraction points it takes to get banned.

    thanks

Just go to a forum at random here, and post like 4 new threads, all the same.

Or pick 4 different forums and post the same thread in each.

Yes, please don't do that stuff.

GREAT!, nobody besides you and the DP mods would ever know about it if you hadn't started this thread.

You've started 167 threads in the B/S/T forums (and that doesn't count the ones like this that you posted in the 'General Marketing' forum).

I'm sure your service is top-notch (really) but that doesn't matter. Do a search (on DP) for your domain names and some are returned >200 times (for a single one).

I know plenty of DP members who do a lot of business w/ other members and they don't start 3 sales threads a week.

And I certainly don't have anything against link buying and selling.

Also, to be honest, I'm still pissed that, in February, I had to go in and edit HUNDREDS of fake signatures in your posts EVEN after another mod asked you to use your user cp's signature function.

The signature thing was a dumb misunderstanding on my part and of course that is my fault completely. I would make it up to you if I could.

This post http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=97876 was not in 'General Marketing' it was placed in 'Solicitations & Announcements' and I have received around 200 submissions from DP members already (zero paid). Is there something wrong with that post too?

I will try and be more careful about how often I post in the B/S/T thread and will try and make sure my offers are different each time.

I use DP as a resource and a place to sell my links and I also try hard to offer good advice and services to help my fellow DP'ers. I feel really uncomfortable with the position I seem to find myself in lately with the mods of the site because I am about the furthest thing you can be from a "trouble maker".

    thanks

I moved it for you. But it was in 'GM' originally.

We're not anal around here (at least I don't think so) but we do try to keep things organized and clean.

An infraction is a way for us to make you directly aware of a rule or something you shouldn't be doing. Usually not a big deal really. And that's why it takes so many to actually be penalized.

jg123, it's not always the best idea to air your dirty laundry in public. There really nothing you can do at this point other than fit your posts within the guidelines rob is working with.

I'm going to start giving red reps for people starting threads complaining about infractions.
It'll make me feel like a man :)
