yeah. I got one just like that a few days ago after listing it on sedo. It's an appraisal scam. Reply to him and you see. You are going to give him a number, and he will ask for an appraisal first. He will reject your suggestions for appraisal companies on various grounds and suggest one of his own (his scam company). You will pay at least 100$ for the appraisal and you'll never hear again from him.

Maybe a scam bu maybe not ...

The first thing do to in this case is to reply to the email and asking for more informations regard of their compagnie.

Second if this look not a scam ( maybe this is one, keep always this in mind) just ask them if they have and registred account with sitepoint and look if they have feedback for buying domain or whatever.

If this guy is realy what he say in this email, he will know for sure sitepoint.

Ask him again to complete the transaction with that site. And look for a valid phone number verified.

Hope this info can be helpful to you

Online domain selling almost scam now. Saw many post to take domain from and pay by paypal or credit card. Once transfer then block the money. SO if any selling just transfer the domain after receiving cash in your hand

yes it is. Read my post above. The guy's intention is not to buy, bu to do a bogus appraisal and leave with your money. It's actually a classic one. I've seen the same text so many times. It's very common.

thats a domain appraisal scam, they usually ask you to buy an appraisal for the domain they are thinking of buying.

just remember if its too good to be true - it usually is.

I wouldn't say is such easy formula. Real buyer could be interested in an appraisal too, right? There's several different ways to check if an e-mail is a scam or not.
