YPN for Arcade Sites

I have recently started a Free Arcade Game Site and I am displaying YPN ads.

What type of categories in YPN would be of interest to visitors that like to play games?

I would stay the heck away from Insurance, that's for sure. Read this thread:

MySpace and Arcade sites are the first ones getting the boot for non-relevant ad targeting. Make sure whatever you choose it's relevant to your website, or you won't be around long.

    Perhaps the following:

    Computing/Computer Software

Thanks for the info. I think they should first offer a warning.

I did select the following sub categories from the 'Entertainment and Social Event Services' category:

    - Dating Web Sites
    - Online Recreation

Does anyone see a problem here?

Maybe you shouldn't use ad targeting at all, let the YPN robots do their job. I've never had to touch targeting and all of my sites display relevant ads...

I agree, but on arcade sites I have had no luck with their ads as they only show one or two ads most of the time when left to relevancy.

"Arcade Sites" usually have a WIDE open demographic (at least mine), so a wide range of general service type ads usually interest my visitors. I wouldn't show them mortgage ads, but a credit card is more relevant to me than ads about Golf Clubs that they show automatically if I don't select targeting :(

YPN doesn't much of entertainment ads. Most of them are web hosting. I have tried ad target but unsuccessed so I just let's its bot to crawl :p .

let it run naturally that way they cant accuse you of nonrelevant targeting.
