EchO!/2.0 was the spider of echo.fr that now belongs to France Télécom. As far as I know, this robot is not used by France Télécom anymore since a long time. I guess that someone else has created a new robot with the same name and AWStats believes it is the old EchO!/2.0.

I believe that their robot spiders many sites and, if they find broken links, they let you know and they suggest that they can make you a nice offer to avoid these broken links problems...

Who the hell does this bot belong to? It eats more than double the amount of bandwidth other engines eat, wtf is it doing to my forum? Should I just ban the IP or what?

75% of my traffic comes from Google anyway, the other 24% come form MSN and Yahoo!, so whats the point right?

I would not trust AWStats information regarding EchO!. As far as I can see, AWStats just checks for the existence of an "echo" string within the user agent.

AWStats also reports EchO! in one of my sites, but I just discovered this user agent in my server logs:
BonEcho is a developer preview release of the next generation Firefox, according to the Bon Echo Alpha 1 page on mozilla.org.

Not a bot, just a visitor with an unusual browser ?

Did anyone ever figure out what the "Voyager" bot is all about or where it is coming from? I can't seem to find any answers.
