wow, I sure had a huge suprise tonight. When I logged into blogger to post some stuff on some of my blogs, I noticed that the 46 blogs I had were now down to 3. Out of those 3 that were listed, this message was given when I clicked on them to access: "If your blog is disabled, it will be listed on your Dashboard, but you will not be able to click on it to access it. If this is the case, there will be a grace period during which you can request that it be reviewed and recovered. The disabling is a result of our automated classification system marking it as spam. Because this system is automated there will necessarily be some false positives, though we're continually working on improving our algorithms to avoid these. If your blog is not a spam blog, then it was one of the false positives, and we apologize. If this is the case, please write to Blogger Support and we will manually review and restore your blog. Be sure to give us the URL (address) of the affected blog. " Now all of my blogs have been "reregistered" as someone else, and I've lost the names of them. I'm extremely frustrated, I didn't get any kind of notification that this was happening. My sites are NOT spam. Has anyone else had this happen?
Sorry to hear that Andrea. I always had the fear of allowing other people host my content. I wish you the best.
Have you contacted Blogger support? Did the same person register all of your blogs? Perhaps that person reported your blogs as spam?
I have seen this posted here before. This is too bad IMO. Take a look the post below. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=31952 Best of luck with your 3 remaining blogs Andrea.
Sorry to know that PlanetAndrea. If deleting wasn't enough, why did they allow someone else to reregister them?
This type of thing is very common with blogger. Can’t remember how many times I’ve seen people complain about blogger deleting their blogs. From reading peoples complaints I’ve noticed that one thing is always common and that is their blogs being registered by someone else. Were they high traffic blogs?
Happened to me a few months ago... my money is on that you probably hand links to your websites in your posts on sidebar... that's what they do. If you own other websites and link to them, or sell links on your blogger blog, expect it to one day be gone.
I don’t think that’s the reason. I see a lot of businesses using blogger blogs. Does this mean that their blog are going to be deleted as well? Because if it is a company blog it will have many links to their main site.
Did they kill off your Adsense account at the same time? I notice the "you are not authorized to view this page" message on your sites and here at DP (assuming you are using the rev share). I stopped hosting anything I actually want to keep awhile back for just this reason. I know a few of your blogs that were deleted and they were far from spam, at least by my defination. The sites that have replaced your blogs are spam - check what's been put up on the Restaurant Drink Recipes link in your sig. Yikes.
If not, hopefully either MSN, Yahoo or Google will have it in their cache. What a pain that would be trying to pull those down...
Anybody knows blogger email so that i can ask to them if we can or cannot have links to our own blogs? I've search the entier blogger page and found no email adress
I had two blogs, both with original content and updated daily. They were both on the same topic as two of my websites, and I had a link to each of those websites in the sidebar and many of the posts linked back to a page on those sites referencing that content. No other reason for them to disable my accounts, other than for linking back to my own sites.
I've had a really bad luck run here recently...Adsense booted me because I was "affiliated" with a click fraud account, which happened to be my father's site, and since I share the same mailing address, they banned me also. My dad's site got slammed with "friendly clickers" apparently so he's banned now. Then this stuff with blogger, I'm about to throw in the towel... It just sucks and is highly frustrating because that is how I was paying for my college tuition
Their spam robots are lousy and often mark regular blogs as spam, even Google official blog was deleted not long ago.
"Their spam robots are lousy and often mark regular blogs as spam, even Google official blog was deleted not long ago." And somebody else registered it too. I had real good laugh.
