Digital Point's April Fool's Joke?

So where is it?
Last year there was a h4x0r3d message, where is it this year?

It should charge to post in BST and when click on "signup/pay/etc..", it should lead to "april fool"! page

not sure it'll be a good one but it'll sure scare away scammers for the day or forever, they will leave without clicking, but thinking pay or no posts

I actually have prepared the $50 membership fee for DP

Yea I'm sure its a prank as well, it would just kill so many peoples business here on DP. And I'm sure the BST is one of the things that is keeping this site going as strong as it is.

Well, I hope it's not a prank. It will make DP a lot better, right now it's fully of cheap sales and scammers, making it cost money will raise the price things sell for (more like sitepoint prices) and get rid of the scammers and spammers.

Well I'm not sure whether its a Joke or not,

I agree that the quality of the items that are on sale will be better, I like the designers and sites for sale on SP.

BUT

I use DP to find service providers because of its threaded BST that allows feedback on the provider. There services you can find here on DP that just wouldn't exist if there was a Fee to list your thread. People wouldn't be able to justify paying the fee if they weren't sure if they would see a return.

 

If it is real, payments will be monthly or yearly

 

Is that true or a joke ?

 

Looks like today wasn't the best day to make the changes. When we agreed on it, we didn't think much about the date of delivery. Maybe we should have waited until tomorrow to break the news.
