I bought a vbulletin license of him which he didnt even own, he was the developer for somebody else (so ive been told by the real owner) The real owner asked if the guy who sold it seemed dyslexic and I said yes because his spelling isnt that great. Im down $230 (vbulletin branding free & vblogetin) so have filed a paypal dispute and no response after 2 days I tracked down darens phone number and about 5 of his domains, his address and his hosting company. Needless to say i gave him a call and he said hes on digitalpoint now and sorting it out. Daren didnt come back on till 8 hours later to tell me ringing him and sending him a text 'ant gonna matatvate me to do it' After seeing more of my pm's ignored and daren logging in I can safely assume hes not going to give me my money back Beware!
thats sucks man , did you but it from him on dp , if so the best thing to do for now is leave him negative rep , he allready has one neg rep from another member , if you bought it from him in a slaes thread you may aswell leave neg to m8 , hope you get sorted
Best part would be paypal.... try to get your money back.. say that he scammed u for some physical good .. coz digital material is not taken as anything in eyes of paypal.
Give him negative Trader Rating, you probably shoudlve just bought the license direct from VB themselves, they may be more expensive but at least you get the security that you aint being ripped of by anyone other than VB lol cos of their high prices, joke
Sorry to hear that. There are really a lot of fools out there. I've also been scammed a few times. There should be a way to make these guys pay for their evil deeds!
Hey there, good to see people showing their support, I've also been scammed once or twice, I'm fairly cautious but sometimes there's just no way to tell if you're going to get the wool pulled over your eyes. Take care out there and I sincerely hope you get it sorted out.
yeah I did and I have Still doesnt stop me being $230 down. I know its a small sum buts a sum he shouldnt have
That is very bad. Hope you will get back your money. But then the big question is, if it is so easy to get back the money from Paypal why do people try to scam? I mean they can get their PP account banned if they do the same thing again and again.
Unfortunately, it may not be the first time he's done something fishy: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=309863
