Hi all, just wanted to make you all aware of a scammer out there. He seems to prowl sedo, ebay and other places looking for damain sellers. Next he sends you an email asking what your price is, when you reply, he says that sounds great pending an apprassal. So what do you do? You get an apprasal done for ~50~$60.00. After the apprasal is done, he informs you that he only wants to help you sell it and that he will get you what you want for it and HE will keep any extra if sold  What a jerk. I fell for it, hope fully you will not. His email domain is phreaker.net, I could not get a good whois though so he could be aliasing.

Make Sure to use this link in your thread Jeffrey McQueary So others can google this guy!

These scammers are sure crafty. They use a name like Jeffrey McQueary that conveys wealth versus a boring name like Seth Douglas or say David Hansen. Also, they use phrases like PHD or President of ABC and they know NO ONE is gonna actually see if the company even exists. Prey on peoples desire to get rich qucikly.

Money isnt that important. Have faith in the Lord and money wont dominate your life and you wont fall for these scams. Jesus saves.

Normally I find everything you say repulsive, but for once you got it right. He actually claims to be a PH D.

I do not know your game, or what your angle is. I do know you said "$3500? Fine!" You also asked how I would like to be paid, via paypal, wire, etc. That sounds like an offer to me. Unless you explain your position, and why you did this to me, this entire email correspondeance, good and the bad will be published. I am a very straight forward person and do not understand your angle. You are saying you purchased an email list. From whome did you purchase it? Also, you claim to be a PHD, are you really? Lastly, go ahead and report me to whoever the hell you want, I have nothing to hide, I have done no such "speculating" you claim is illegal. I live in the state of Wisconsin, you have all my information. Please explain yourself, I may be willing to drop this whole mess and waste of my time for a proper explanation and apology.

That really sucks he scammed you like that. That is the problem with the net these days. Dishonest people like "Jeffrey Mcqueary" makes it hard for the rest of us honest webmasters to make a living. Don't worry, someone is going to rip him off to. It is only a matter of time. You don't screw people and think you're going to get away with it.

How about just forgetting it and move on? You can choose to either be angry about it everyday or just forget it and be a bit happier each day.

The choice is yours and it's only $60.

I used to attend some investment meetings where a few of the participants would joke about being members of the $100,000 seminar club. What they meant of course was they had done at least one deal that cost them that much.

Losses are just part of doing business. Personally, I find it helps to think of them as tuition :)
