FS: forum/site that has generated $20k in the last couple years.

Selling site/forum that has made me $20k in the last couple years. This revenue was in the form of cool tech freebies, paypal payments and checks/gift cards sent by various referral incentive sites.

Now, the site has generated about $20,000 worth of freebies and cash for me alone. The site never had advertising on it back then and really didn't take advantage of link selling which could have been HUGE with how much these people wanted exposure for their referral links so you can assume the revenue would have been much higher if I knew what I was doing then lol.

Keep in mind that the site generated $20k for me alone but also helped the users get tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff as well. Check here for their proof and if you feel like adding it all up let me know lol. Not all people who got freebies because of the site posted either. : > HERE <

congablast.com Creation Date: 2004-10-19 (2.5 years old) PR4 now was strong PR5 for couple years and only dropped to 4 in this most recent update.

alexa isn't much to look at but to get an idea of the traffic level during it's healtly life change the range to 3years. This was big for a good while but has obviously dropped off. Considering the traffic level fo the two other major sites/forums in this niche, there is plenty of room to come back and do very well for someone who knows how to promote and market correctly.

Site needs some MAJOR TLC and help from someone who really knows how to market and promote. The "scene" is still strong and a lot of demand for this type of site but just needs help with the rebound.

One easy way to leverage the user db would be to start your own referral freebie site or buy one like this: > HERE <. This is the type of site congablast revolves around and if partnered with a site it could be huge.


Reason for selling:
I'm killing the site because of lack of time and lack of interest/motivation. The forums were down for a couple months and had major hosting trouble during that time. When I got them back up and going I just didn't have the energy to reboost the traffic to where it was once at and have been letting it slowly die since. Need to give it to someone who can make up for my slacking and make it huge again.

Most recent freebies I got because of the site were two PS3s. One which I sold and one which is sitting here next to me looking sexy heheh.

Thanks lol. It's (homepage site) actually just static html. I had planned to work in some kind of CMS but never got around to it and it's not really that hard to add new stuff to it as it now.

Thanks for the bid designerz.

Auction will probably end mid week. I have several people wanting more detailed info on how the site/scene works before making real bids so need to take care of those questions first.

Sorry for the delays on a couple pms (cyclops and michael). Been really busy and the holidays are always harder heheh.

Just a reminder since a few people have pmed about it...the site gets very little traffic right now. So stats/revenue isn't enough to really even post about. It does ok as far as ecpm though as I got a click today and it was $0.64. So if you can get traffic to the site you could earn a decent amount on the adsense and then also work on the forums to make cash that way. Again, the real value in this is the database of old users (probably about 2500-3000), the "brand name" and recognition in the scene which could be leveraged to open your own freebie site and get a nice headstart and past revenue ($20k worth of freebies) which gives an indication what it could again do if you have the skills/resources to get targeted traffic to it again.

The domain for that site is not included though as I have started using it for another site but the files from the old site are there. This site is an info/howto and relates to the freebies and links from the congablast site. Makes it easier to just advertise one place to get signups for all the members and such.
