    well it depends if i am making a bussiness site for promtoing my business then i will put it as geniuine it can be but if it needs a seo touch then i will surley modify jsut to make it little seo friendly

    I'm fairly certain keywords are slightly ignored nowadays. Or rather, they're greatly undermined. SERP will not be improved by meta keywords, instead, it will be determined by page content.

    OP is banned though I will still provide my input, it's better to have them then to not have them. Doesn't hurt anything. I always use keywords and descriptions.

    There are three things one should make sure that he/ she is implementing..

    Title of the web page and should include focused search phrases.

    Description, place the keywords at first positions in description.

    Meta Keywords: Choose 8 relevant keywords..
