Crazy Google Earth pics

    Our local paper has been using some satellite pics lately of quirky things.

    Probably don't mean much to most of you but there's the kiwi

    click on the images and you get taken to Neave Lab's online version of Google Earth.

    A koru is the shape a fern frond makes as it unfurls and is a symbol used extensively down here.

    Wow! Those are amazing pics Sarah!

    I am waiting for images of ufo-designed-shapes on cornfields. Not that I am a ufo-freak but those would also be amazing art piece to look at.

    It's quite funny seeing where the closeup maps are. They're taken in summer so the land looks quite brown and dry, but the others are taken in spring so it's all looking lush and green.
