Anybody else get the email from Alex Tew just now? I just reserved the very first spot on the top left of his new homepage. The site is not up yet but the domain is www.pixelotto.com On Digg: http://digg.com/offbeat_news/Alex_Tew_s_MillionDollarHomePage_2_Pixelotto
In terms of presentation, is it the same as the original pixel page? I understand there are some different elements, like the "lotto" - but I am curious if this is just another pixel site (obviously from the original creator, but...)?
I don't want to get in trouble for spilling too much beans here.. I'm sure somebody else will soon though. Right now only previous advertisers can buy spots though. He's already sold several spots already too... Top left is mine baby!
Anyone get Alex's email about the Million Dollar Homepage 2? He's launching it on Dec 5th. Here's an email I got...although I removed private info: Hi I have some very exciting news I'd like to share with you. Next week, on 5th December, I am launching a new venture called 'Pixelotto'. It's similar to The Million Dollar Homepage only this time I will be giving away $1,000,000! It's all based around pixel advertising and generating big traffic for advertisers. Visitors play for free - all they have to do is click on the ads for chances to win the jackpot. The more they click, the more chances they have - and the more traffic you receive. As a valued customer of The Million Dollar Homepage, I'd like to give you an exclusive opportunity to purchase advertising space on Pixelotto before the site goes public. The world will be watching next week and this is your chance to get on-board before everyone else. The following link will give you exclusive access to Pixelotto, where you can buy ad space right now: http://www.pixelotto.com/board If you have any questions don't hesitate to e-mail me and my team at I look forward to welcoming you on-board for this new pixel adventure! Cheers, Alex Tew Pixelotto http://www.pixelotto.com
He already has $1 Million, and bogus, incentive clicks is the best he can come up with? If I had just $40K to $100,000, I am very confident I'd never work a 'normal job' ever again (and my ideas would be a lot better for the advertisers).
It's actually not a bad idea, but I don't know if it will catch on like the first one... I do love the idea of being able to enter the contest without paying for anything. P.S. - I registered a typo domain... PixleLotto.com
Wow, over $5,000 in spots sold just like that! This is either going to be big .. or unfortunate for many. Nice typo. I bought the top left spot on this new site. And actually I posted about this earlier: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=188147 Can a mod please merge?
No, I bought a spot last year...he sent an email out to everyone to get pre-sales before the official launch.
The website isn't up yet unless you have an invite as a previous buyer.. BTW, I tried to digg this thread earlier but digg reported: Weird. Well I posted another digg instead on this: http://digg.com/offbeat_news/Alex_Tew_s_MillionDollarHomePage_2_Pixelotto Please digg.
His initial idea was pretty stupid since the income would eventually come to a stop. Not that it didn't pay off, but it could have been done much better. I guess this is his solution for that mistake.
I disagree...he's a genius in my opinion. Where I think he went wrong was by stopping at a million. I think he could have set up a new pixel site and sold another million. Mark my words - he will fill this site completely again. I guarantee it
That's what he's doing. If he had made his million dollar homepage charge on a yearly basis, he wouldn't have to make this new site.
Looks like this time around the ads are NOT permanent: Here's part of the terms: "Round" the period starting on the Commencement Date and ending one Month following the Trigger Date; "Term" as defined in clause 12.1; "Trigger Date" means the earlier of: i) the date on which all of the Advertising Spaces in the Grid have been sold by the Company for the relevant Round; or ii) the twelve Month anniversary of the Commencement Date; and "Website" the worldwide Internet website of the Company identified by the URL www.pixelotto.com And then lower down a bit: 2.1 For each Round the Company will make available one million pixels (the "Pixels") for the hosting of Advertisements for the Duration. The Pixels will be in a grid hosted on the Website (the "Grid"). The Pixels will be made available in blocks of one hundred (100) Pixels each (the "Advertising Spaces"). Each Advertising Space will measure ten Pixels by ten Pixels (10x10). ---- He's sold over $20,000 in pixels since the email about 5 hours ago....

I will track the whole story here: http://www.squidoo.com/pixelotto/ Last time I just watched... now I will participate
Can you add my site as the first copy-cat? I registered a typo domain which is: PixleLotto.com I think I'm going to sell blocks for $1 and reserve a huge chunk at the top...one winner will get that spot in the end. The site will be up shortly...
