Just gotten an email from nobody@dp and wondered if it was official? "I have been observing the Co-op ad network for last 1 year. Now I have decided to launch the network similar to co-op one but with better weights and more acuuracy. etc etc" Just wondering whats happening? (I am the guard dog after all )
got 3 also this was in the header: Received: (from httpd@localhost) by blink.digitalpoint.com (8.11.6/8.11.6) id kAKIgjt23034; Mon, 20 Nov 2006 10:42:45 -0800 Date: Mon, 20 Nov 2006 10:42:45 -0800 Message-Id: <200611201842.kAKIgjt23034@blink.digitalpoint.com> Code (markup): dunno what's going on but I doubt Shawn would let some one spam us.
This is definately not an official DP email. Someone is just harvesting your email addresses from your forum profile. The registrar for the domain is India.
I don't see how.Go to my profile and try to send me an email.......you can't. If this is not official I would like to know where they got my addy from.It could mean a totally spam free addy gone to waste.
Yep, got a few... The headers are not forged, its being sent via DP from the "email this subscriber" link. However, I doubt he is doing this manually. It's probably a bot that is doing all the work.
Don't know if it's from DP & if it isn't then I am cautious to use it. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=55151 This person knew something about it.
Nope, not an official DP email... just an old disgruntled ad network user that was kicked out for cheating.
All you have to do is register and you have access to the E-Mail address of every member that has it set to leting other members E-mail you, even though one easy solution to make less SPAM be generated is making a form show up instead of the actual E-Mail address.
